Steve's POV
Throughout my entire life, I had practically little meaning. Upon being spat onto this massive island, I had spent my days surviving nonetheless. Working through building a home for myself in the desolate plains biome. I had recently finished the construction of my house, a comfortable two story home with a small basement for potions making. My days drew weary even as I continued to go day by day, trading with the residences of the only village that would technically be considered as close and mining for my own materials.
I enjoyed my life however dull it may appear.
I had finished washing up from inside of my bathroom and dressed in dark grey sweatpants and a short sleeve white T-shirt when I stopped next to my bed as it laid horizontal to the window sill above it. I cocked my head to the side at the view before me, it was night outside of course, what baffled my mind was the lack of mobs that I was used to seeing outside. Even with my walkway being dully lit up from torches I had placed. There wasn't a monster in sight, not even a distant groan came from my zombie grinder. Something was very wrong and my unnerving curiosity drew me to I pick up my semi damaged diamond sword before sprinting downstairs and out my house. Surely enough, even the atmosphere outside felt tense and unusual.
Cautiously looking around the area I frowned at seeing mobs seemingly, fleeing from the vicinity of my house, not even Enderman strayed close to my home and I stood confused on the gravel path I hand placed. My right hand gripped the hilt of my sword as I walked, trying to pinpoint the problem. I had walked over a tree root that I had a habit of tripping over the further away from my house I walked. I gave a sigh, stopping and looking up towards the moon, lowering my guard slightly and watching as dark clouds drew near, the distant crashing of thunder got me to frown at the unsuspecting weather change, however whipping my head up and glaring behind me at the sound of a twig snapping nearby.
Snap
I turned around, sword ready from the second snapping of another twig and maybe even the slightest curse under someone's breathe, all from within the clearing I was currently in. Nothing greeted me, nor did I hear the groan of a zombie or the hiss of a spider or creeper.
"Who's there?!" I yelled out, my eyes darting to every shadow around me. Again nothing that was until I seen a flash of white. My guess was from the lightning that lit up the sky once again.
"Come out!" I commanded nervously, my voice holding strong as I now glared at a bush that rustled near me. I held my glare sharp as I slowly walked towards it. Lightning boomed in the sky once again as rain began to fall down lightly the crash of thunder scared me slightly and I only managed to caught a glimpse of the being, It was male from what I managed to see. Still he stayed in the same spot, un-moving as I tried to make out his face.
"I won't hurt you if you don't hurt me" I tried to reason with him as I set my sword down and kicked it away from reach. The man gave a low hum this time, I tilted my head at what sounded like a snicker or chortle before the bushes rustled once more and I swore I heard the faintest sound of fleeing footsteps over the thundering rain that befell.
"No wait!" I called out, hoping he was still there trying to make out his figure, yet from the rain nothing was even in sight. I sighed in defeat and turning towards my sword, shivering at the coldness of the rain, whoever that was it still didn't unnerve my curiosity about the lack of mobs.
Just as I was about to grab my sword to continue my search for answers until I called it a night, I was tackled to the ground. At first I grew angry ready to attack whoever had pinned me to the ground but then I noticed the eyes, those bright white eyes that gave me a cold chill up my spine. Thunder boomed from the sky as my breathe caught short, fear enclosed my entire being as my attention was only to the male on me, his bright white voided eyes gave him away.
