The world actually ended, well, kind of. Scientists saw it coming for years but I dont believe that. I thinks that the floods were all fake and that there are other lands larger than this hellhole, beyond the ocean. Since the floods everybody abandoned religion and started treating every word scientists said as the complete and utter truth. Like when I got framed for the murder of the grand scientist. The truth is I wasnt even there. There was a power outage the night before and camera's failed to construct the killers actual face. This is all I can think of at my trial. "Connor Hershe has been pleaded guilty and is sentenced to the Klick"
Crap. Being sentenced to the Klick is basically a death sentence. We were told the klick was once human but water in his brain drove him crazy and years in the cave made him the thing he is today. A police officer grabs me from behind and drags me out of the courtroom. He pushes me into a car and we drive to the cave. The rules say I have to survive one night in the cave with no food, water or sleep and im home free. We pull up to the entrance and exit the car. The officer hands me a flashlight and just as I take it, an unearthly noise reaches my ears. It sounds like a raspy cackle that sends a shiver down my spine. "MAZTMA! FOOOOOOD!" The response comes frome a soothing, sweeter voice. "Once he comes in, he's all yours."
I turn angrily to the officer. "I thought it was only the Klick!" "It is. That voice is a woman who acts like his mother. He calls her Maztma. All she does is tell him where you are." Great. A murderous creature and his psycho mom. I walk to the mouth of the cave as darkness surrounds me. Once im in the cave I rub my thumb along the edge of my flashlight and feel a button. I push down and a beam of light shoots out of the end.
A slight grin spreads across my face because I know I have a chance at survival. I walk a few steps and a figure walks into the light. It is extremely skinny with a pale grey skin tone. Only wearing a pair of under with a black liquid foaming then dripping out of it's mouth. "KLICK KLICK KLICK!" Oh sh*t. It runs at me yalling about food for Maztma.I run into a corridor to my right. The tip of my light reaches a small hole in the hole in the wall and I turn off my light. I dive in the general direction of the hole and I miraculously make it. I move my foot around in the thick and slimy water and I make contact with something. I pick it up and throw it around the corner. It splashes somewhere in the distance and the Klick moves away from me. I wait a few minutes before looking at what im sitting in. Its water with moss on top and the occasional spot of blood. I slowly walk out of my hiding spot and hear the distant screech of the Klick. It seems to have implanted itsself in my head and even though the Klick isnt screeching, I still hear it. I slowly walk down the hall to the end and peer around a corner. I see a table and chairs with disgusting things I dont even want to think about. Sitting at the end of the table is a woman. By modern standards, she'd be what others call "sexy", but im not other people.
"Come, sit down. I wont bite. Although I can't say the same for my pet." At the last word she puts her finger to her mouth and a mischevious grin spreads across her face. What the hell. "Are you,,, what,,, erm,,, what the hell are doing? ARE YOU TRYING TO SEDUCE ME?" At the moment I was to confused to say anything else and thats what came out instead. "Maybe." She says. I know what she wants to do. She wants to distract me and while im doing... other things, the Klick will jump out of nowhere and thats the end of me. "I know what your trying to do." I say roughly, trying not to yell again. "Your 'Maztma' arent you?" I ask. "I dont know a 'Maztma'. I dont know what my name even is. Maybe you could help me remember." She stood up and walked towards and lifting the bottom of her shirt. "Stop trying to seduce me. And enough with the seductive tone too." She doent stop and her shirt is halfway off her now. I turn around to walk away and standing right behind me was the Klick. Tears start to form in my eyes and a scream escapes me out of sheer horror. It shoves me backwards a bit and hands wrap around my waist.
(I think I took this way too far)
