It had gotten dark and the day Marinette had made her tired. She changed Adriens Ice pack and noticed his face looked awful. He looked like he was thrown out a window. He had scratches and a bruised cheek. Marinette decided cleaning it up would be a good idea.. Adrien had been sleeping for the majority of the day, and it confused Marinette on how she hadn't done this before. She got a warm cloth and some cream and a bandaid.

Warm blush creeped up her face as she brushed his hair away from his wrinkled forehead and stared wiping the scratches. They had scabbed over but still looked bad.

Adrien, half asleep though of his mother. And her soft hands taking care of him. She hummed as she worked.  A tune she always sang to him when he was younger. Her soft voice, not a note out of place. An uncontrollable smile etched its way onto his face. His face smoothed out, the discomfort gone. He was left in peace.

Marinette finished with a small bandaid. Tikki had come to hover next to her. "What do I do? I can't just leave him out here. It was early September, and the nights got cold when the sun wasn't out.

"You can always wake him up and bring him inside." Tikki suggested. She sighed.

"Yeah, I guess." Marinette reached over and gently shook his shoulder. "Adrien?" He woke with ease.

"Marinette?"

"Hi, uhm... i didn't want to wake you but its dark now and its gonna get cold soon so..." she looked away, aware of the blush warming her ears.

"Oh- right... do you need me to go?" He said, rubbing his eyes.

"No!- I was going to let you sleep up here if it wasn't so cold, you can sleep on my chaise for the night if you want." A warm smile grew on his face.

"Thank you."

Adrien's dream of his mother slowly turned into a nightmare. Leaving him with a cold sweat and calling out for her.

This woke plagg. This had happened many times before and he had grown accustom to hearing it, tho it hurt him every time.
"Kid. Adrien." Plagg whispered. "C'mon kid wake up."
"Mom- No!" Adriens eyes opened, filled with tears and bright with color.
"Adrien, are you okay?"
"Have you gotten your energy up?" He asked, ignoring plagg.
"Yes but-"
"Good. Plagg claws out."

Chat noir only pawsed a minute to gaze at Marinette before leaping out into the night.

After some searching he found a place on a rooftop overlooking the city. This kept happening to him. A recurring dream. His mother sang to him, rocking him to sleep, and when he finally fell into sleep, she fell through the floor, waking him up, and always calling for her. It never failed to leave him in tears. He was usually good with hiding them, but this he couldn't hide. His face stone cold, tears falling like rain. He had no where to go. He supposed he could stay with Marinette, but she always got weird around him. And he had no idea what to say or how to ask. His mother gone, and his father, well. The father he knew was long gone, and he had no idea who he was now.

"Chat? What are you doing here?" His head whipped around, Ladybug behind him, concern on her face.
"What are you doing here? Its the middle of the night!"
"Chat, 5am isnt the middle of the night. I thought it was my turn for morning patrol. Are you feeling ok?"
"I would say yes, but I'd be lying."
"Do you wanna talk about it?" Chat hunched his shoulders, hiding between them.
"No"
"Would a hug work?"
"Yes. Very."
Ladybug sat beside him, wrapping her arms around him. They sat in silence, watching the city wake up to the sunrise. "Ladybug" chat said still gazing at the waking city.

"Yes?" She responded.
"Have you ever been in love?" This was a odd question to ask, he knew that she had. "Yes, but why do you ask?" He looked at her and she looked at him. "Were you ever able to. Fall out of love?" This confused her even more.
What was he getting at?
"I-I think, i don't know. Chat why are you asking me this?"
"Theirs just so much going on in my life. I don't think theirs room. I get this overwhelming feeling sometimes where its absolutely everything at once. I hate it." Chat looked away.
"Chat. Love is a source of happiness! Its one of the few things that makes life worth living, it makes it full, why would you want to stop that?"

"If I was you I would be trying to stop other thing to make room for love, not the other way around." This made chat think.
"Th-"
"Oh my gosh, the time" Ladybug cut Chat off, looking at the placement of the sun, "Im gonna be late for school! Bye Chat! Think about what I said ok?"
"Yeah..." Said chat. She nodded and was off.
