The Forest

Chapter One- The Beginning

It is a cold, dark, raining night. We stand under a light on the porch. He is looking at me with suck anger in his eyes, I don't know to to explain it. I have never seen his like this before. arguing with each other "Why did you do this" I said sobbing into my hands. "Why are you over reacting Victoria" Mike screamed at me.

"I cant do this anymore" I say wiping away my tears. He just stares me with a blank stare "are you finally done crying" he hisses to me. I just start running away. Not looking back at the person I loved; The person who I thought was my forever. I don't understand we where so happy together.

I ran for what felt like hours. I finally stop to realize I ran in to the forest. I think back to what my dad had told me about the forest as a kid. "My little angel, The forest is a dark a dangerous place at night" my dad said "why is it daddy" I said looking back at him "there are dangerous things in there sweetie things that will hurt you" he said.

I come back to reality. I heard a nose what sounded like a branch braking, there was a howl in the distance, then I feel a cold shiver down my spine. There is a light in front of me it looks like a ball floating in there air "follow me" it said. My head is going crazy what do I do.

"follow me" it says once again. I feel like something is looking at me from a distance, "If you want to live follow me" It says with a panic this time. I decide to follow it to see where it takes me. the mysterious ball of light keeps moving faster an faster. I run to keep up whit it. "He is near" it says. "who is near, where are we going" I shout at it but no answer. We run an run i feel faint an tired. then I trip I try to get back up but cant. My eyes close.

My eyes start to open to the light of morning. I proceed to look around I see the walls of my room, "why am I in my bed, was it all just a dream" I ask myself. "Victoria its time for school" my moms voice echos through the house. when I walk down stares grab my bag and start walking down the street to my collage. "Victoria" my best friend Kenzi yelled across the street. Let me tell you this girl is my opposite; She had purple hair, was supper out there, she was popular with everyone. While me just a plain brown hair girl with glass, who is the biggest nerd in the world; I tend to think how she is my friend some days. "whats going on in that head of yours" Kenzi said "Sorry just thinking" I said quickly

We walk to the school I tell her what happened last night "Girl it was just a dream, you where not in the forest last night who goes there at that time anyways" said Kenzi "There is still a lingering feeling that it I was there Kenzi" I told her, she stooped dead in her tracks "Victoria I am telling you it is not real, there is no way you would have gone in there on your own even at night, what are you not telling me, did something happen for you to be in there" she said worried "nothing happened, just a fight with Mike so I ran off but i don't want to get into it really I am sorry" I told her. Kenzi continued to walk but would not talk to me, why is she acting different. she is normally open to the idea there are things in the forest.

as we closer to the school we see police lights. we walk up to the school the students are all whispering to each other about what they saw. there is police crime scene tape every where. "sorry for your loss" one girl says to me "sorry to hear about mike" another says. I move closer to get a better look, there is a body under the tarp. "Stop right there, where are you going young lady i have some questions for you." says officer Nixon, slowly it comes together. Is Mike under there, what happened, did i do all of this.
