My name is Santiago Cruz, and I will guide you through my life, so you ought to know some things about me. I was born in Laredo, Texas in August 24, 2002. I was born into a family of eight people, two brothers, three sisters, two parents, and me. Both of my parents are from Mexico and, like many other families, moved to the United States for a better opportunity. I remember when I was a baby, I didn't have a care in the world. If I was hungry, I would cry, if one of my toys was out of reach, I would cry, and if I was sleepy, I would cry to get everyone to shut up. As I got older, I started to realize that I had responsibilities, and they all started to come the second I entered my Pre-Kinder classroom. I remember that in Pre-Kinder, the teachers would give you all sorts of things if you did good like a sticker, or a cookie. I never got one of those prizes, because everyday I was bored, and I did a messy job at every assignment they gave me. Every time we did something new, they would never let me use my creativity and make something else that was more awesome than what we were doing. I think Pre-Kinder was a drag, mainly because the only "fun" I had was to wait anxiously for the bell to ring, and nap time, definitely nap time. I only wish that they did nap time in seventh grade, which by the way is the grade I am currently in, but I know they wont do it. Here is the first lesson you ought to learn. Never wish for something to become true if you know it's impossible. If you know its impossible, then why bother try to wish for it. I almost didn't pay attention to this lesson until recently, when a girl very dear to me rejected me. I knew her and I were never gong to happen, she even told me we weren't going to happen, but as usual, I didn't listen. So, remember, never wish for something to become true if you know it's impossible.
