I peered back. Constantly. Blue, no black, truck tailed me no matter how many irrational turns and circles I made around the block. On my third round around the street, my slim thread of patience snapped. I attempted a sudden U-turn to throw them off but it was a narrow street. I screamed as I rammed into a parked car.
In a blur, white flashed in front of me and the impact thrust me back then forth. A huge headache invaded my head and my ear rang like the toll of a death bell. I felt something warm trickle down my forehead like a stream. I groaned. Weakly reaching my hand up to examine my wound, I pushed open the car door.
My legs collapsed on the concrete pavement; my body slid out of the wrecked car. I winced at the bright glare of the sun, squinting my eyes. I felt the huge gash on my head and groaned. That will be a bitch to heal.
A wave of drowsiness washed over me as I struggled to stay awake. The bucket loads of blood sprouting from my wound like a broken faucet didn't help. My eyes fluttered along with the last of my strength.
He's coming.
And I saw black.

I woke up with the crappiest pounding in my head and to the brightest thing that rivaled bright neon green directly in my eyes. I turned over to lay on my side but a surge of pain assaulted me. Groaning, I moved back to facing the annoying light and touched the bandage covering the injury.
When the soreness disappeared into the background, I noticed the shuffle of feet and the growing crowd of three teens surrounding me. I felt their gazes that resembled the fascination of kids at the zoo. I didn't like it. I rolled over so I didn't have to face their glinting eyes. Annoying puberty-stricken twits.
"What's your name?" One of them asked.
I turned and glared like a tiger responding to some annoying visitor taunting for my attention.
"James Bond." I replied with a straight face and snuggled back into my pseudo-bed when his annoying wonder didn't leave his blue eyes.
"James Bond? Wow. I feel bad for you. You must have had a hard time at school." Prick #1 said.
"Are you freaking idiot? She's lying obviously and I can't even believe you trusted her. Dude, you need some common sense classes." Prick #2 respond with an air of superiority.
"Shut up both of you. The rogue is right there." Prick #3 demanded angrily.
" But she's the future Lu-"
"Shut it." I moaned.
I couldn't stand the pricks bickering anymore. I needed sleep and hot cup of coffee. Crap, I needed to get out of here too. I stood up and stretched although the drumming in my head accelerated.
You there Giselle?
My wolf, who apparently returned to her state of these past few days, gave no response. I sighed and headed toward the door. The minute my fingertips grazed the doorknob Giselle presence appeared, agitated. I scanned around and took a deep breath in.
Wolves.
Adrenaline pumped though my veins and my feral instincts within blossomed alive. I flinched away from the door as it swung open and revealed the midnight blue eyes my wolf had been waiting for all my life. Giselle howled inside of me. Shit.
With the overwhelming amount of blood flowing in and out of my brain and the weight boring down on my head, I swung my leg around, roundhouse kicking the man before me and ran the opposite direction.
