The energy flowed around me like a web, dripping through my fingers, my once grey eyes were now cycling through the colour spectrum, the energy changing as it goes.

The light from my hands and eyes cast an eerily glow on the surrounding shrubbery.

My eyes continued to rapidly change, until they suddenly stopped on gold, nothing happened, it changed to silver, nothing happened, then white then black, but finally brown.

This is when everything went to shit. Milky white figures started moving towards me, advancing rapidly.

I tried moving back but I only made it a few steps before my back collided with a tree trunk, I slumped down to my knees on the mossy damp grass.

The figures were mere metres away and I could finally see what they were...GHOSTS.

I felt the immense pain, and before I even realised, I was screaming.

I could see their wounds and torn flesh, there melted skin and exposed bones. my eyes and hands flicked to a black.

I put them up pointing at the ghosts hoping it would deter them...they were unaffected.

But as I looked behind them, I noticed that the leaves and trees around them were dead and shrunken.

The animals that had been moving around were coughing and melting, blisters and scars popping up all of them, whimpering with pain.

The ghosts started to whisper something I couldn't understand at first, but it was like a punch to the face when they started screaming "help us".

My hands shot to my ears as the sound was ear-splitting, I couldn't focus on anything, there small whispers which sounded like wails made it feel like I couldn't focus on anything.

But as soon as I could my brain came to the realisation about the situation, I was in.

I felt a panic attack brewing, my chest tightening up, it felt like I had too little and too much air at the same time, my vision was blurry and wavy, the tears not helping.

I tried to calm my breathing, it took a while but finally my breaths returned to normal and I wasn't
shaking any more.

The ghosts were now mere metres away, they kept saying help us but it seemed to do the opposite of what it did before.

Instead of being drowned out by it, it was integrated into my thought, it was as if those two words meant a whole paragraph of questions and pain.

I finally understood what they needed, it was as if right on que my hands turned to one of the most purest whites I've seen.

I pulled them both up facing them towards the ghosts that stood only almost an arm's length away.

The white trailed towards them all like a lightning strike across the sky arcing towards the nearest living thing.

There wounds and cuts, gashes and slice slowly started to heal up, stitching themselves together, bones being pushed back to place and any disfigurement reversed, there torn and old clothes returned to there prime glory.

The people before me weren't victims they weren't hopeless they were beautiful, there effervescent lighting around them mad them all shine.

They all slowly walked towards me and it was as if I was a gateway when they would touch my hand which had now turned to a gold they would slowly get drawn into.

Some before they'd leave would give me hugs, which felt as real as it could get, some would leave kisses on my forehead and cheeks, but most just smiled, crying tears of joy.

Once all of them were transferred I pointed up at the sky and it was as if the same energy that was around them was now slowly rising to the sky.

I slowly dragged my tired self over to the shrunken plants and dead creatures, I laid down in the middle of them, my hands palm down into the earth.

The white energy came back and I could hear the leaves livening back up and the animals get up.

The squirrels and foxes came over and any other animal/insect in the area started moving towards me, it was as if I was there mother, or they were mine.

They all laid around me, crawling under my arms and in my jacket and shirt some birds and squirrels nestling in my hair.

There was the one thing I hadn't noticed had been in the area, there was a boy, who looked only a few years older than me, maybe 17.

He looked like one of the ghosts for a second, the same milky white look but that soon faded away and revealed he was wearing normal clothes like me.

He crawled out from under the tiny pile of rocks and dirt he'd been under and he soon came over and laid right next to me.

He picked my head up and nestled it on his chest, there was now a hidey-hole in between our bodies and on his side, animals took this with ease and moved over there.

The warmth from all the things around me and what I had done to help them, soon dissipated the chill that went down my spine, my eyes were slowly fluttering closed.

The full moon slowly rising to its highest point, unconsciousness was normally a hard thing to obtain on most nights, but it was as if my past problems meant nothing in the instance, it was as if I was in immense and complete peace.
