Happy pulled up to the school parking lot with Tony in the back seat. He had Steve's letterman from last month folded in his lap, which he's waited too way long to give back to Steve. He's been on a guilt trip ever since that morning when Jarvis went to wake him up and had found it and slung over Tony's chair. He, of course had something to say and pointed out that if Tony let it stay there for too long it would become one with the furniture.
He got out of the car and walked towards the entrance of the school building, the doors were crowded with students as the flooded in heading to their classes. Tony made his way down the hallway, holding the jacket tightly in between his fingers and pulling against a stray strand of string he had created on the drive over. He started spacing out when he bumped into someone, so hard in fact, that he fell.
"Hey watch where you're walking." Tony looked up at the person, realizing that he knew them from somewhere. He had short brown hair, green eyes, and a stone cold glare. He sighed and helped Tony up.
"Thanks... I think" Tony said and kept walking but the guy grabbed his arm, stopping him. He was eyeing the jacket and glanced but up at Tony. He looked at Tony up and down, studying him.
"Hey, I didn't know you played, I used to but..." Tony looked confused and felt uncomfortable under his glare. Looking down at his feet, he glanced at the guys arm, which was covered by a cast.
"Oh um no I don't, I'm just returning it to a friend, Steve Rodgers actually." The guys eyes widened, his posture relaxed and he smiled a bit.
"Oh so you're a friend of Steve's? My names James but you can call my Bucky." 'Well shit what kind of friends does Steve hang out with?' Tony just nodded and introduced himself as well.
"Wait so you're Starks son? We've met before, not exactly sure how though, all a bit of a blur. Tony looked at him strange. Bucky looked as if he had just remembered something he wasn't exactly proud of; a dark memory. He face unreadable; emotionless. Tony cleared his throat snapping Bucky out of his trance.
"Well I better get to class, see you around." Bucky looked up at him; like his ways were staring mg strait though him nodded and continued on his way.
When he finally reached first class, he sat at his assigned seat. Steve wasn't there and he started to worry. If I can't give it back to him today what if I forget it tomorrow? Or what if he his here but I forget to give it to him? He pulled on the sleeve of the jacket in between his fingers. He was startled when someone sat next to him.
"Hey are you okay?" Steve looked at Tony with concern and sipped his water.
"Wha-o yeah I um know I held onto your letterman for a while but I have it now so..." He placed the clothing on the table. Steve smiled and shook his head. "Y'know football season is over and I don't really wear it that much, if you want, you can keep it." Tony shook his head and was about to say something when they were interrupted by the teacher.
"Either you two get a room or pay attention." The whole class erupted with laughter, Steve choked on his water and Tony muttered a sorry. After class, they were walking to art, while debating who should keep the jacket, Steve saying that he didn't need it and Tony saying that it was way too big on him.
"Yeah but It looks better on you" Steve placed it back in Tony hands.
"No, it too big in me, it actually fits you, it being yours and all." Tony replied and gave it back to him. Steve sighed and shook his head.
"It doesn't matter the size, you should wear it because..." he looked awkwardly at his feet. Tony glanced up and smirked.
"So is it like a property thing? If I wear it does that mean no one can have me except you?" He said it dramatically, especially the last part, like he was imitating a woman in soap opera. Steve blushed and slung the jacket over Tony's shoulders.
"Please, just please keep it, really I mean it." Tony looked up at him and smirked.
"Fine but you owe me something." Steve nodded and took another sip of his water.
"Yeah, ok anything." Tony pulled the jacket tighter around him and smiled as they neared the classroom Tony opened the door.
"How about a date?" Steve choked on his water (again) and banged his head on the swinging door, falling backwards. Tony rushed to his side and patted him hardly on the back.
"Shit, Steve sorry. I didn't mean to startle you." he giggled a bit and Steve groaned, rubbing his head.
"I'm gonna go to the nurse." He said as he managed to get up but stumbled a bit. Tony grabbed him to hold him in place and shook his head.
"Nope, you're not going alone and besides I got you into this." he straightened Steves posture and went inside the classroom to get an excuse note from the teacher. When Tony returned Steve sighed and balanced himself on the wall with his hand.
"Really Tony go inside to class, I dont want to be burden." It was the one of the things he hated most; feeling like a burden. Ever since he was a child and he suffered various deseases and his mom had to work extra hours and multiple jobs just to pay for his medicine. He hated feeling like he nagging on someone-feeling like he was so dependent even though he could do nothing about the situation.
"Nonsense, this is my choice to help you." Tony grabbed Steve's shirt sleeve and tugged him towards the nurses office.

Tony sat in the waiting chairs, outside the small office where steve was with the nurse. The heard their muffled talk going over who he was, why he was there etc. A few minutes later her heard the door open and saw Steve walk out with the blonde nurse. He had an ice pack held to his head and smiled when he saw Tony. He got up from his seat and waited for for Steve as they made their way out the nurses office.
"Sooo... um are you ok?" Tony looked up at him in concern "Do you have like a concussion or something?" Steve laughed but then. Steve laughed but winced at his headache.
"You can't get a concussion, the door didn't hit me that hard. But the thing you said earlier, about the um... did you mean it?" Tony looked up and smiled as they walked back to their class.
"Yup! and plus you owe me a favor."
