Jenna and Space

CHAPTER 1

In the year 2038, Jenna always wanted to be in space. Live, breathe, and be in space. Nothing else matters. Not her family and not her friends either. She has friends of course, especially her best friend Lexi. Lexi and Jenna had always been friends. They lived next door to each other and practically been friends since they were in diapers.

Jenna is a very smart girl. She has long brown hair with light freckles on her face. Jenna has the most beautiful green eyes anyone has every seen. When Jenna was a little girl, her dad gave her a telescope and she was just hooked on space. Jenna always talking to Lexi about space and always wanting to be an astronaut. Nothing distracted her and boys came her way. She gave them no mind because she didn't want them to become a distraction. She always wanting to make good grades and get into engineering because she had a set plan of how she is wanting to become an astronaut. She also got to put in 1,000 hours of pilot-in-command in a jet aircraft and pass the NASA's astronaut physical examination. She is planning to attend Purdue University because they have degrees for pilot candidates. Like I said, she has a plan.

CHAPTER 2

It's the end of senior year and Jenna is patiently waiting everyday for her acceptance letter from Purdue. As soon as she gets home, she rushes off to the mailbox to make sure she gets the letter. She has already told her parents to not get the mail, she'll get it as soon as she gets off the school bus. It's Thursday and Jenna is already hoping her letter gets in. She crosses her fingers as soon as she gets off the bus. She carefully opened the mailbox like there is a ticking time-bomb ready to go off. Her heart is beating a million beats her minute. She's praying all kinds of prayers for at least something or someone can hear her and hoping that her prayers will get answered.

She found the letter. She's holding it very carefully and thinking, "please let this be to what I have been working so hard for." She went inside and showed her mom and dad the letter. They are waiting as much as she has. So she carefully opens the letter. The letter starts with her name and then it tells her what she has been wanting to hear her whole life, ever since she's been a little girl. She got accepted and she's getting a full scholarship, all the works. She's so ecstatic and jumping that Lexi heard from her house. Lexi came over and Jenna told her what happened. They both started jumping and screaming.

Jenna's dad told all of them to get into the car so they can all get ice cream.
