Nighttime my friend you are the most extravagant thing in the world

You have the wonderful moon that glows

And it never looks the same

It always was divergent and more beautiful than the sun is

The sun has one look that is quite annoying to look at

But the moon is quite different and has many forms

Nighttime my friend you are very special to me

You have the millions of stars in the sky so children can make their hopeful wishes

But the shooting stars are unique

They are shining streaks that dance in the moonlit sky

The day time does not have dancing stars like the night time

Nighttime my friend you're one of a kind

Your dark black sky is an elegant dark symphony 

It's a black canvas to see the stars that twinkle and glimmer

It is a wonderful dark heaven

The night time is an extraordinary thing

It may seem like a wretched and nightmarish place where shadows stock you as you sleep

But really the night time is quite delightful

The light from the moon is a shining luminous

And the shadows are a kindred spirit as they protect you in the night

And help you sleep and as they watch, you drift into a slumber

The moon and stars smile as you dream and your imagination takes flight

The shadows defend you as your dreaming happy dreams
