Kesley Franklin studies as if her life depends on it on a daily basis to earn her nursing degree. As an intern at the local hospital, she oversees a large number of patients. But none of those patients even compare to Jesse Adler, an alcoholic with a broken heart. She tries hard to focus on her future, but she's lulled to a certain pair of brown eyes.
Gabriel Clayton is a guarded bad boy whose sleeves of tattoos are regarded as his personality. Forced to tutor his childhood best friend in Math, he's not expecting to fall for his woolen beanie and lopsided smile. And he definitely doesn't expect to dream of pushing him against the bookshelves, hearing those breathless sounds fall from his lips. Gabriel never plans for these events to unfold, but he doesn't oppose to them, either.
Christian Pierce is a coldhearted musician who stumbles upon a small diner seeming as if it just walked out of the previous century. The daughter of the owners, Hart Lake, happens to be a cheerful and optimistic artist.

By the way, I came up with a possible way for "Christian" and "Hart's" first conversation to play out.
Elbows propped on the counter, she leaned forward, and prompted in a breezy voice, "Would you like a menu?"
With a slight smirk, he gave the girl in a pair of demin shorts a quick glance. "No, I'd like to order you."
She brushed a strand of dark hair behind her ear and let a light laugh slip past her lips. "I'm not on the menu."
A glint of mischief appeared in his green eyes.
I just imagine him as a total flirt.
