Beyond this moment

Chapter 1

"Alaska come on your going to miss your flight!"
"I'm coming mom give me a minute"
Where did I put that dang coat I can't find it anywhere?
"Alaska if u don't come down right now your going to be in so much trouble!"
Why can't she just calm down. Oh, there it is!
"Coming!"

"Do you have all your bags, your purse ." My mom is so annoying I'm kinda glad I'm leaving i can't wait to be out of here. " Yes, mom if I don't go I'm going to miss my flight." " Okay bye honey call me when you land I love u." "I love u too mom bye."

I've never been on a plane before or even left the state. Now I'm being sent across the county. When I look at my phone it says 10 minutes until 8 my plane is boarding soon so I go wait in line. " We are now boarding for the 8 o'clock flight to Seattle Washington." the intercom warning me.I can feel my my heart pounding against my chest and all these thoughts come flooding in my head , what If lily doesn't like me, what if I don't fit in!"Alaska you need to calm down , I try to tell my self but it's not helping at all. Next thing I know I'm sitting in my seat and the captain is introducing himself. I quickly close the window cover and pull my ear phones and and blast my music as loud as possible then I feel the lift of the plane off the ground and I can feel the weight off my chest , this isn't as bad as I thought. Four glasses of apple juice and one long nap later the captain is announcing are landing and I peak out the window and see all the glowing lights of Seattle reflecting off the clouds. "Welcome home Alaska" I remind myself in my head.
