"Princess! It's good to see you. Or..er..perhaps it's not because if your here it usually means your hurt. What can I do for you?" Dr Julian Devorak has his usual trade mark grin; daring and impish. His energy is contagious (like the goddam CoRonA VirEs- ...sorry) and I find my self smiling with him.
"Hello Dr Jules." I say stepping in to his small office and Julian immediately get up from his large desk piled with scattered paperwork to pull a chair for him and me.
I laugh fondly and sit as he does the same. I glance back to the absolute mess of a desk. "Hard day of work?" I inquire. He sighs deeply and rubs his temples with his gloved hands. "Well yes, but now your here so I can take a short break. What is that you need, princes? I'm always happy to serve."
And don't you know that fact all to well.
You put on an innocent smile. "My chest hurts I was hoping you could examine it for me."
"Your chest? How so?"
But your already undressing. Julian bolts right up from his seat flailing his long limbs for a monument before grabbing your hands from going any further. You almost laugh at the way his face morphed into the most astonished expression.
His eyes peal away from yours to his hands for a moment and he quickly releases you. "My apologies. But you needn't undress, princess."
"Why not?" You slide your seat closer to his.
"It's unnecessary. I can fix you up just fine with a simple description of your Symptoms."
I put my hand on my chin pretending to think about it. Then I put both hands on my chest. "It hurts right here."
Julian picks up a note and pen and starts scribbling down in his illegible hand writing. "How does it hurt?"
"As if my heart is closing in on it self."
He purses his lips. As if this was a very serious matter.
"For how long?" He doesn't look at me this time.
"Oh, ever since I've met you."
He stops. "What? Why didn't you tell me sooner?" He looks a little hurt.
"Well... I diagnosed myself and prescribed myself already so there really wasn't a need."
"Princess. With all do respect I'm the doctor, not you! You can't just diagnose yourself! You don't have a degree! If it's serious and it gets worse—"
"Oh, it did. It got way worse. That's why I'm here today."
Julian gives me a worried look.
"But I'm most certain that I've diagnosed myself correctly."
He shakes his head. "Is that so?"
I pluck the pen and paper out of his hand and scribble something down. I hand it back to him. "Tell me if I'm right."
His brows furrows. "It's says 'puppy love'" He looks back up at me questioningly.
I give him a look.
It hits him like a bell being struck at midnight.
"Oh. oh." He blushes and says it quieter this time "oh. Well princess I had no idea."
"Not even when I brought you the heart shaped chocolates for valentines?"
His blush goes deeper. "Er.. well... no."
"Mm. Yeah I didn't think so either." I get up from my chair and close the distance between us. Our noses are almost touching. I slide a hand down his chest. "You could make it up to me though." He looks up at me with half lidded eyes. "What do you want me to do?"
"Indulge me would you?"
And with that I go in for a kiss.
