You took off your shoes before you descended the spiral staircase and rushed off to your room. If Sam or Dean heard you come in, you knew they'd ask you about your date tonight. Some questions, you just didn't want to have to answer, at least not right now.
There weren't enough words to describe how horrible tonight's date was. You were starting to wonder what your friend, Marci from the coffee shop was thinking when she set up these dates for you. This was the third bad date in as many weeks.
The whole reason you agreed to let Marci set you up is because of Dean. Ever since you two met over the phone, you've had a major crush on him. Too bad work has always been in the way, though. Well, that, and the other women he "entertains" from the bar after a successful hunt. After the months and years of being stuck in the "friend-zone", you decided it was probably time to give up. So, you let Marci set you up with a blind date. Then another. Then tonight.

When you first met the Winchesters, you took a call from Dean on your "Hunter's Hotline". His deep, sexy voice was the stuff you dreamed about. You knew he was athletic and most likely gorgeous. However, you also fell for his sense of humor and could tell he had a caring nature as well.
On your hotline, you provided research services and confirmed credentials for suspicious local law enforcement for hunters who needed it. Occasionally, you ventured out into the field if you were part of an undercover op where you had to appear as a couple with a hunter.
It was on a mission like this that you were paired up with Sam, but couldn't take your eyes off of Dean. He was everything you pictured and more. Tall, muscular, with spiky hair and the most captivating emerald eyes you'd ever seen.
Eventually, you found yourself needing protection from the Winchesters. A hunter who was a frequent caller to your line was captured and turned into a vampire. He betrayed you by telling the vamps where to find you. You would have been captured and turned if it had not been for the Winchesters and their angel friend, Castiel. After taking out the vamps and their nest, you took up residence at the bunker, continuing to provide your hunting services.

You tiptoed down the stairs and into your room. Once inside, you closed the door and leaned against it, breathing a sigh of relief that you had escaped detection. You threw your shoes in the closet and got out your teddy bear pajama pants and Queen T-shirt to get ready for bed. A knock on your bedroom door interrupted your thoughts. You silently groaned at the intrusion, but opened the door to see Dean standing there.
"Hey Dean," you said.
"Hey yourself. Everything okay? You're home early," Dean observed.
"Yeah, didn't go so well. I don't know what Marci was thinking when she set me up with that guy," you muttered.
"Wanna talk about it? I got your favorite ice cream on standby for you," he grinned.
"That's so sweet of you, thank you. I really don't want to talk about it. I kinda want to go to sleep and forget the date even happened," you replied.
"Well, if you change your mind, I'll be here," Dean promised. "Goodnight," he said.
"Goodnight, Dean," you answered back. I love you, Dean, you said to yourself as you closed the door.

Dean could tell you were hurting a little from your rotten date. What he couldn't figure out is why a gorgeous woman like you was letting herself be set up by Marci from the coffee shop. When he saw you in your room, you looked like you were on the verge of giving up trying to find someone to love. He certainly didn't want that to be the case, because he had been hoping for a shot with you.
