Chap 1- Hello stranger

Cross POV

I was walking out in the forest, doing some shit for nightmare, I think we were trying to catch someone or something... So I was just wondering since he had me be live bait. I heard footsteps, it's easy to hear things out here since there were leaves everywhere.

"Hello? Who's there!?"
I said about to turn around summoning my sword just in case they were the monster we were looking for

"Shhhhh... don't turn around~
Hello stranger. What are you doing out here?"
They said in a calm soothing voice, It SOUNDED like a he...

After hearing that I didn't bother turning around.

"Hello... nothing much just.... thinking..."
I said with many pauses cause he was thinking of lies along the sentence I guess the stranger didn't noticed

"About~?"
He questioned digging an even deeper hole in this conversation

"........."
I didn't know how to respond so I just stayed silent. It was like that for a while until mr.stranger spoke

"Wanna dance~?"
He offered but I responded with

"1. There's no music
2. I don't know how to dance
And 3. I don't know you, so..... who are you...?"

" 1. We do not need music 2. I can teach you and 3. I cannot tell you~." He responded

I sighed
"......fine......"
I said defeated, I got up and turned around. He was wearing a hood so I couldn't see his face. He flew at me and took my hand and cupped it in his hand pulled it behind him, and our other cupped hands near his chest. He was a little shorter than me so I was on my knee and my other leg just dragged along. He gave me time to pull myself up

"May we start now~?"
He asked

"Mhm... g-go ahead..."
I responded giving him permission to start

(Frick here comes the long part...)
He started walking backwards his dirty tattered cape going in the opposite direction of his movements his eyes were closed, he seemed to be enjoying this... he spun around and met my chest looking up at me like he was going to kiss me.

"Y-you seem to be enjoying th-this..."
I pointed out

"Heh, I am enjoying this more than I anticipated... But I thought you said you didn't know how to dance. But you're doing really good~." He responded

He moved back our hands still locked together, he spun back to my chest

" You do realize that you're dancing with a stranger, right?"
I questioned him

"But we just had a friendly conversation stranger~."

We needed to end this he put his head on my shoulder while on his tip toes and turned his head to my neck

"DUST NOW!!!"
Someone screamed and that someone was Nightmare the stranger screamed out in pain tears pouring down his eyes I felt so bad his hood came off as he fell to the floor sobbing and sniffing cause Dust threw a bone into his back he looked up at me his eyes half closed

"You dumbass, the hell was that?!?!"
Nightmare scolded

"Really?!? I'm the dumbass? What if that wasn't the monster who did all of those things to those people?!?"

"He was about to bite you, OF COURSE YOU'RE THE DUMBASS!!!!"
Nightmare screamed

"Both of you shut up!"
Dust scolded us both like he was the parent of two children who were fighting. Was holding the stranger on his shoulder
