Broken Faith

The night falls, covering the world in a blanket,
Of darkness.

The day comes, bringing light to the,
Gentle world.

Repeat these patterns.
Like the love for you and I,
it never ends.

I gave a home to your shattered heart,
And I put your pieces together.

And I joined you as the world turned dark,
And like the sun came back for the world,
I came back for you.

Until,
You break my heart into pieces,
Scattering this way and that.

You know I am weak,
And I won't get them back.

I thought you cared about me.
I can't believe my foolishness.
To think that one like you,
Could care,
Could love.

Our love has died,
And so has my faith.
