When You Fall In Love ➳ Choni

"As you all know, our gangs are losing memebers, we're being out numbered by other gangs." Jughead Jones, the leader of the Serpents started.

"We, as the leaders of each of our gangs, have decided to band togehter." Jughead gestured towards Peaches, the leader of the Pretty Poisons.

"Jones is right, Pretties. We've got one last job to do before we disband and head our seperate ways" She told as she stood at the head of the classroom where the gangs had their meetings.

"Now, we understand of course, that there is some tension between some of you..." Peaches says as she gazes between Cheryl and Toni.

The girls roll their eyes and go back to chewing their gum and carving the desks.

"Which is exactly why we will be working in pairs; one person from my gang and one from Peaches'" Jughead informs the groups.

"Mm, let's see..." Jughead pauses and scans the room, as if I'm thought, when, in reality he knows who his first team will be. "Cheryl, from Peaches' and Toni, from mine" He says, mischief in his eyes.

Cheryl's eyes lit up for a moment when she heard that she would be working with Toni but they soon fell back into darkness as she realised that Toni may not feel the same and have some sort of objection to Jughead's decision.

Cheryl was secretly in love with Toni Topaz, although she would never show it because it's a sin and it's a deviant trait. She would never willingly admit that she liked Toni, or girls in general for that matter.

Every time Cheryl would become close to someone she would shut down and lock them out, she would become terrified that they would see through her and be disgusted in her.

But little did she know that Toni Topaz was whole-heartily in love with her too, but she also didn't know that Toni liked girls, it would become a surprise to her in the future.

To anyone else, Cheryl and Toni have never gotten along from the moment they met, when Southside high got shut down and the students had to move to Riverdale high.

Toni was confident that Cheryl would be hers in no time with a little flirting, but aside from the fact that Cheryl was straight (so she told everyone) she had no interest, nor did she have the time for some badass, pink-haired, trouble maker like Antoinette Topaz.

The truth is though, that Cheryl was interested and she did have the time for someone like Antoinette Topaz, she was just too afraid to show it.

"What the fuck, Jones?!" Toni whines as she slams her pocketknife down, hands on the desk in front of her and shoots her body into an upright position, ready to argue.

"Yeah, what the fuck, Jones?!" Cheryl argues, spitting her gum into a nearby trash can and standing with Toni in protest. Cheryl had to stand up and protest as Toni did to hide her secret, although it was not her favourite thing to do, fight with Toni that is, she simply had to do it.

"Peaches, you're agreeing with this hobo?" Cheryl asks, keeping her guard up, while subtly looking to the side, towards the pink-haired girl in the front of the room, checking to see if she was looking in her direction. Quickly, Toni glanced back at Cheryl, the redhead, not knowing what to do, flipped her hair behind her shoulder and in the process flipping off the Serpent in the front of the room, and in turn feeling slightly upset with herself that she did. Peaches just nods her head and shrugs the girls' complaints off.

"That's the way it is, Blossom." Jughead started. "If we want to survive out there, we are going to have to learn to get along and work together!"

"And if that means putting the two of you together on this, that's what we'll do" Jughead said in a stern tone.

"That's a load of bullshit if I've ever heard it!" Toni fought back as she rolled her eyes into the back of her head.

"Enough! It's been decided" Peaches yelled, getting fed up with the two girls' attitude.

Toni and Cheryl scoffed before plopping back down into their seats to wait for jughead to dismiss the meeting

"Okay all of you go home and we'll send the details" Jughead dismisses. "Cheryl, Toni... please don't compromise this" Jughead pleads.

"We won't, Jones" Toni promises, "See you tomorrow, Red" Toni smirks as she says this, knowing it will grind the redhead's gears and get her riled up.

Cheryl grumbles quietly to herself as if not to alert the Serpent girl that she is in fact annoyed, annoyed that she can't freely walk up to Toni and smash her lips against her own.

"Whatever" She says, and when she is sure the short girl is out of earshot she mumbles under her breath, "Gorgeous..."

A/N: So this is the AU that will be up on my (@/choniscock) if you have read it on my instagram first, I know it's not the best, I will admit I'm not very good at au's, they are very restricting with the little space there is for speech and how hard it is to find the right scenes for the pictures I use.

I suggest you read each chapter of this on my Instagram first (when they're released) and then come over to Wattpad as I think you'll get a bit more of an in-depth description of what the characters are feeling in these moments but you also get the pictures in your mind of what is happening because of the pictures used in the AU... let me know what you think about this book/AU in the comments, please actually leave a comment, and I hope that made sense ^^ for you :))
