New Life

It has been a couple months now and my belly is starting to show.

I have been going to the doctor like I'm supposed to and have been hiding it from James.

When I was six months pregnant one day there was knock on the door.

I opened it and it revealed a commanding officer from the U.S. army.

Hi I say to him.

Hello I'm Commanding Officer Johnathan Spear are you the wife of James Evans he asks me.

Yes, yes I am I answer.

Officer Spear nodded.

"The Commandant of the U.S. Army  has entrusted me to express his deep regret that your husband, James became MIA in Irac on April 7 2012 . The Commandant extends his deepest sympathy to you and your family in your loss." Officer Johnathan says.

I look at him shocked.

Thank you for telling me I say to him.

He nods and leaves.

I shut the door and I start panicking and start crying.

The first person that pops into my head is Owen I need to call Owen.

I pick up my phone and call Owen.

After almost 7 years of not talking to him and never seeing him I call him.

He answers.

Hey Avery Owen says.

O--Owen I n----need y--you h--ere I say to him.

Oh----ok what's your address I'll come over right now Owen says.

I tell him my address and he comes over slams open the door and comes in the bedroom because he hears me sobbing.

He hugs me and then evidently sees that I'm pregnant.

He holds me close.

After a while I stop crying.

What's wrong I mean your pregnant are you ok Owen asks.

I'm married Owen he's in army like you, a commander came earlier and announced to me that my husband went MIA last week and hasn't returned I say to him.

Does he know your pregnant Owen says.

No he doesn't I found out a day before he left to Irac I say.

I just got back from Irac Meagan is still there I'll call her and see if she's heard anything about him Owen says.

Thank you Owen I say.

I'll call Nathan too now get some rest you need it your working for two Owen says.

Three I'm having twins a boy and a girl I say to him.

Congrats I'm very happy for you Owen says.

Thank you I say.

Owen moved in with me just a week ago now and he's been helping me with setting up a nursery for both of them.

We haven't heard anything back if they found any sign of him but Nathan believes he's alive and that the other side took him.

Meagan came home to help me and so did Nathan.

All three of them are surgeons at San Antonio hospital and all of their friends are my new friends now.

Arizona who's a  O/B and a Pediatric surgeon is one of my girlfriends(meaning best friend btw).
