Eren's POV

Buried beneath multiple layers of rank smelling clothes, I faintly heard Ms. Bitch spit,

"It's right here, take it and get the hell out."

I was thrown against the side of the hamper as Pixis grunted,

"I-It's a lot heavier this week..."

I could hear the confusion and suspicion is her voice as Ms. Leonhardt wondered, "That's odd. It shouldn't be... let me ch- AGH!!! You little shits, you'll pay for that!!"

I slapped a hand over my mouth to keep from laughing my ass off as she growled in pain; I've taught these children well. I could hear Pixie giggling quietly as he dragged the hamper across the floor. Then I remembered; the stairs. As I dropped down each step I held back a pained yelp. My ass will defintely be black and blue later...

When I finally heard the soft thrum of a vehicle, I knew that my plan had succeded. But I had gotten this far every time, the tricky part was leaving town unseen. The laundry truck jolted and sputtered to a stop, and as soon as Mr. Pixie opened the trunk I bolted, ignoring the outcry of,

"Agh! Not you again!" You'd think he would turn me in, but he always gives me my chance. Good 'ol Pixie.

Dodging and winding my way through people, I attempted to predict where Nile, that ratty old police officer, would be making his rounds. Not seeing him, I slowed my pace to a slow stroll, taking a chance to look at my surroundings.

In the orphanage, we were never allowed to leave. Every kid in there save for me has barely seen their town before, except for out of a grimy wndow. That's why every time I try and make my escape, I drink in as many sights as I can to tell the orphans all about them.

So I raised my gaze upwards and let out a breath of air, seeing the white puff trail out of my mouth into the frosty air. The sound of car engines rushing past filled my ears as I took in the town's tall buildings and shops. Then I heard an odd sound; one that I had barely heard before.

'Bark! Bark bark!'

The sound of a distressed- dog, was it?- came from my right and I glanced over, noticing the mangy mutt being chased by a group of wanna be thugs.

"Oi!" I yelled angrily. I had never used that word before but it just felt... right. "What did he ever do to you??"

After chasing the poor animal into a alley corner, they laughed disgusting nasely laughs as they turned to face me.

"Whats it to you, loser?" The tallest, probably the leader, taunted, getting in my face.

That didn't last long however, because a second later he was on the ground in agony, clutching his leg.

I raised my eyebrows at the other three and put my hands in my pockets.

"You bastard!"

"You'll pay!"

They chorused while stumbling towards me in a blind rage. I sighed, shoving my hands deeper down in my pockets to keep them warm. Yeah, yeah. I've heard that before. And I still haven't "payed"!

My foot found its mark on the side of one of the ruffian's cheek, hard, bringing him on top of his fallen leader with a yelp. The others were not deterred however, seeing as one took a swipe at me, which I easily dodged.

I swept his feet out from under him, resulting in his partner to trip over him and land on his ass. The small band lay groaning in a pitiful heap. What buffoons!
