Liv must have fallen asleep because next thing she knew she was waking up. She also felt a huge cloud of fear wash over her, fear and unease. No one else was in the room but she felt watched. That's when she noticed it, hidden at the top of the bookshelf, she had to double check she wasn't seeing things.
Liv pulled her desk chair over and checked. She wasn't seeing things, someone had installed a camera in her bedroom. Most likely Blaine.
Liv got dressed in her bathroom instead and hesitantly went to the kitchen for breakfast. Blaine was already awake and had made pancakes.
Liv's stomach turned in a knot. Had she imagined it all or was Blaine really a ticking time bomb? She felt the victims paranoia (they knew this from the previous time she'd eaten some of the brain) kick in.
A thought then occured to her, could stronger personality types overpower a zombies self control? Was that why Blaine was acting weird? She knew it was something to do with the brain he'd eaten.
Liv cautiously sat at the table and he smiled appreciatively. He took her plate and put some pancakes and syrup on it. Liv nodded her thanks and looked at the pancakes.
She felt like there were unspoken rules she had to follow to keep Blaine from snapping again. Could she start eating right away? She didn't want to voice her question for fear of being ridiculed. Blaine seemed to notice, "Dig in, it's not poisoned."
That did little to reassure Liv but she ate. After breakfast Blaine cleaned up and put on a movie. He looked to Liv in a way she recognized as familiar and beckoned her over, "come, sit beside me. We're gonna watch a movie."
Liv took a seat beside him. The moment she was seated his arm was around her shoulder again. Liv tensed and Blaine felt it. He seemed angry, "Why'd you tense up?!" Liv shrank back in fear, "I-I'm sorry...I wasn't expecting it is all..."
Blaine grabbed her by her hair, "Don't lie to me! You scared of me!? Is that it?!? I do something nice for you and you panic?!" Liv tried to shake her head no but his grip on her hair tightened and she let out a chocked sob from the pain.
Blaine threw her onto the floor. He glared at her as she tried to get up. When Liv got to her feet Blaine's galre softened, "Now, are you going to apologize so we can continue watching the movie?"
Trembling in fear Liv nodded, "I'm sorry.." the words fell from her lips before she really understood her situation. Whoever's Brains Blaine had eaten had abused his partners and or friends.
Before Blaine got angry again Liv quickly sat beside him again and relaxed only slightly when he didn't try to touch her again.
