krystal couldn't make up any faces in the crowd. she was drunk, very very very drunk. she heard her name leave from the mouths of strangers. it was the first time in months that she had left her house. hailey had managed to dragged her out of her place but it seems like the blonde quickly regretted it the moment the brunette step foot into the place.

she was a mess. she had forgotten the bitter taste of alcohol and how it ran through her body. she had forgotten the way she could no longer comprehend anything after taking more than three drinks.

she lost hailey less than an hour in but she wasn't worried about that. the eldest valens was worried about leaving. how she was going to leave and when, with who, and if she would spend the night alone. for someone who had been alone and lost contact with basically everyone, she should be used to being alone but she isn't.

she ran into a couple people, people she's never met but somehow knew her. she was able to see the way that the lights would constantly changed from color to color throughout the night.

blue.

green.

purple.

pink.

red.

orange.

yellow.

blue.

and repeat.

she walked. walked and walked in what seemed to be in circles until she finally found an exit. if she was being honest she had no idea who's party it was or where she was at. all she knew was that she wanted to leave and that her heels will definitely leave bruises.

krystal felt the cool air hit her face and suddenly felt more relaxed. there was still many people outside. waiting, talking, walking, making out, calling... she felt less trapped with the amount of free space she was given out outside. she found herself sitting on the steps, taking off her black heels.

she reached for her phone and decided she needed to call someone. more specifically, had to call christina. as quickly as she unlocked her phone, the quickly it died. just what she needed. this meant she would have to back inside, look for hailey or anyone at this point.

she sat back up and walked through the free area bare-footed until she saw no one familiar. she found herself walking yet again to the stairs she was seated at before. as she got closer, she saw a face.

it was a guy, he seemed around her age. she could perfectly see his face unlike the rest of the people she had ran into. he had beautiful eyes and messing brown hair that seemed to have a mind of it's own. and then, she sat beside him.

her heels were still there in the same spot. he was staring at the stars but shifted once he heard her coming closer. he coughed, looking uncomfortable due to how close this stranger was now sitting next to him.

" it's my shoes, can i?" she said in a low but somehow memorizing voice. he's seen her face before, he doesn't remember where but he knows who she is. he scooted towards the right leaving room for her to grab the shoes. she sat down with a sigh.

" what a night." she said in an almost whispered tone.

he chuckled, "yeah, what a night."

he turned back to looking at the stars, a glow in his eyes. she did the same, wondering what could be so amazing about them to capture his attention so much.

" woah," she barely uttered " it's beautiful." instantly taking back her last thought.

he nodded his head, then realized she was looking up so she didn't see. he turned to face her, again wondering where she's from. he opened his mouth but the words didn't come out. he laid down on the steps as more and more people walked in and out. he stared at her some more, the wind blew in her hair, she seemed tired like she wanted out.

" whats your name?" she asked, she was just as curious as him. wanting to know more.

" timothee" he replied in the same low tone.

before he could ask the same question, she turned to face him with tired eyes.

" krystal. krystal olivia valens."

it was in that moment that maybe, maybe theirs hope she won't be alone for night.
