Forever Mine

Eddie looked over at his best friend. He was drawing on a piece of paper he gave him. Eddie had a smile grow on his face just watching Richie(his best friend) do his thing. Richie immediately looked up. "No peeking Eds! It's a surprise." Richie said smiling and turning the other way. "But Richieeee!" Eddie said in a whiny voice giggling. "Nope! I need another five minutes." Richie said chuckling. They were sitting in Eddies room on a Friday afternoon. They have been there since school let out. Eddie leaned back on his bed and looked up at the ceiling. After about five minutes Richie tapped his thigh. "Hey dummy, I'm done." Richie said looking down at Eddie smiling. Eddie gave him a smile back in return and sat up. Richie handed him the drawing. Eddie was almost in tears. It was a drawing of them sitting on the roof with a sunset in front of them. "Rich, I love it!" Eddie said giving him a hug. Richie gave him a hug back, but Eddie knew that wasn't a normal Richie hug. Eddie pulled away and looked Richie. Richie has sort of a disappointed face. "Rich? What's wrong?" Eddie said putting his hand on his cheek to make him look at him. Richie made eye contact with tears filling up in his doe brown eyes. "You wouldn't understand." He mumbled under his breath. "Rich, you can tell me anything. I'm here for you." Eddie said in a soothing voice putting his hand on Richie's. "Ed's...please promise me that we'll still be friends after." Richie said with a tear rolling down his cheek. "Promise with all of my heart." Eddie said putting his hand over his heart. Richie forced a smile, but then it went away. "Eddie, I adore you. You mean absolutely everything to me. The first day I met you when I asked you if you wanted to be friends..I knew I made the right choice. In fifth grade I finally realized something that I have questioned my whole life." Richie said with more tears rolling down his cheeks. Richie grabbed both of Eddies hands and looked at him straight in the eyes. "I realized that I'm in love with Edward Kaspbrak and always have." Richie said looking down at there hands. "Richie?" Eddie asked with tears filling his eyes. "Yeah." Richie said looking up. Eddie leaned in making there lips touch. Eddie felt sparks and butterflies in his stomach. Richie felt the same and also relieved. They pull apart and Richie smiled. "You are forever mine and always." Eddie said leaning his forehead on Richie's. "Forever." Richie said smiling knowing that Eddie was the one for him.
