Jason rubbed his face as he yawned. He stood in line at local coffee shop while he tried to wake himself up enough to be able to, coherently, make his order. Once he was able to order his coffee, he stood off to the side while he gaze around. Thinking about the larger blotches of grey. Apparently it's supposed to be green, whatever that was. He sighed as his order was called, meaning it was time to quit delaying the meeting that he was supposed to go to.
A younger male was glancing around as he held the cup, waiting for the owner of the coffee. Thinking about who would waste so much sugar for something that was supposed to be bland.
Jason finally snapped out of his trance and reached for the coffee, looking across and down at the male who held the cup. He thanked him as he ran his free hand through his hair to straighten it slightly. Turning around to leave, Jason froze. "What the..." The grey blotches were no longer grey. They had colour to them. "Green." He was finally able to see the grass that he frequently ran his fingers along. The leaves on the tree that he so miserably held during the spring and summer. Craving to know what they looked like besides the dull brown and yellow colours. He finally knew what green is. It wasn't just a story anymore.
Jason quickly turned back around and looked at the boy, who remained just as shocked as himself. Quickly taking a glance down at the name tag, he spoke as if testing the name, "Eric..."
"Blue-" That's all Eric saw now. The sky is actually blue. It wasn't just a made up fact. It wasn't just a colour that his old high school peers made up to tease him. It's an actual colour. He didn't have to feel the dying need to see more than just a sunrise or sunset. He didn't have to tear up whenever he went to the beach and couldn't see the water. He heard a slight breathy laugh, Jason looking at him with a look of fondness one could say. "Y-Your eyes. They're blue-" Eric spoke more timidly than he normally does. Almost as if he would scare the rather tall male away.
"I was beginning to think you'd never show up. I always passed this place by." Jason spoke rather softly as the smile remained on his features, making sure he still at Eric's attention. "I just didn't think it would be worth coming in. Fuck was I wrong." He chuckled faintly while he watched Eric's cheeks burn a faint red. He was loving this. His soulmate was so timid and shy so it appears. Jason hummed while he watched Eric for a moment. "I'll be back here at three after I'm finished with work. I expect for you to be here as well." Jason took Eric's hand and pressed a soft kiss to his knuckles. Loving that the blushed Eric sported darkened.
It was all Eric could do to get himself to go back to work as he watched his soulmate leave for work. The colour blue finally made sense. He finally felt like everything was falling into piece. As he got back to work at the pleas of his co-worker, he was excited. Excited to finally see the colour blue
