Sometimes I ask myself what my life would be nice like if my mom was still here. Would I have been different, treated different? My mom used to always tell me that I was perfect to her and for a second in my life I believed her until I realized there is no perfect anything. My moms died when I was 7 years old and my life has been a complete mess. My names Elizabeth McHenry and I'm going to be a Sophomore at Welmore High this year. I am 15 years old my birthday is August 28. I have jet black hair with bright blue eyes, I have tan skin. I'm 5'5 which is about average size for a girl my age. I live in LA,CA My Dad name's Matt and I have a little sister named Samantha but I call her Sam that is 12 years old. now let me explain why my life is a mess first off since my mom died. Before she died she used to be the one who would hold the family together and would make me and my sister apologize when we would fight. And when she died my dad got depressed and couldn't handle it he started drinking and coming home late at night he works during the day and to have everything under control with money I had to start working at a dinner across town to keep the house and have dinner on the table for me and my sister. So I basically took the role of being a parent the only time we see our dad is on holidays we go to our grandmas house but when we get there we act as if everything was normal.

"Knock knock!" I heard from outside of my bedroom.
"WHAT!" I screamed back
"Get up or you're going to be late to school," I recognized the voice to be my little sisters, Samantha.
"I'm going I'll be out in about 20 minutes," I answered back.
"Okay just don't take to long that we'll miss the bus," She replied.
"I know," I answered annoyed.

I soon rushed to go find something to wear. I pulled out some high waist jeans and a shirt that had flowers on the bottom right. I put on my old red converse and put a red California Republic hoodie on. I left my hair down rushed to the bathroom to brush my teeth and washed my face. I also put some mascara on and some concealer and rushed out to find my sister waiting at the front door with two bananas in her hands. I smiled because I could really use a banana right now.

"Its about time!" Yelled my sister.
"Hey I did my best," I protested.
"Yay yay yay heres your banana," She rambled.
"Thank you," I replied back.
"No problem," She replied.

We then made our way to the bus stop and we were lucky to see the bus barely stopping at our stop. We got on and gave the bus driver our a dollar from each of us and found a seat at the front of the bus. The bus soon stopped at Sam's school.

"Bye see you at my Soccer practice," I said to her.
"Bye see you there," Sam replied.

After she got off the bus and walked to her school. I felt the bus jolt forward and soon we were moving forward. I then recognized the sign that said Welmore High School also known as hell. I got out of my seat and headed to my worst nightmare. I opened the doors and walked the halls. I got to my first period class which is guitar and sat at the very back. All of a sudden the rest of the class trampled in and slumped into their seats. The teacher walked in as the last bell rung.

"Hello students my name is Mr. Johnson and I will be your guitar teacher for the rest of the school year," He introduced.

The rest of the class was just passing paper out to us that our parents had to sign which I would have to forge or risk getting hit by my dad. The rest of the period I spaced out and didn't bother to listen.
after that class is break I went into the line and got some Hot Cheetos and went straight to the library to get a book to read at lunch. The bell rang and I took my time getting to 2nd period which is English. i walked in and sat where my paper with my name was. The teacher was already there sitting at her desks greeting every student that walked in even me. I smiled back to be polite and continued to watch the other student come in and then all of a sudden a boy with dirty blond hair that covered his forehead walked in with skinny jeans and a red plan shirt on and white Supras complimenting his feet. I froze looking at him. I forced myself to not keep staring at him otherwise I would look like a total freak in front of him and that the last thing I wanted to happen. I looked away right after. The bell rang finally and the teacher stood up and went to face the whole class.

"Welcome to 10th grade english my name is Mrs. Jones," She said.
" The person next to you is your partner for the rest of the year so go ahead and introduce yourselves to each other." She said
I turned to see who my partner was and it was the boy with the dirty blond hair covering his forehead.
"So I guess I'll go first my name is Justin" He smiled
Oh my lord why why did he have to smile it drove me crazy. I stared at his pearly white teeth and perfect pink plump li-

"Okay ummm what your name" Justin asked
"Oh right sorry I'm Elizabeth but I go by Liz" I smiled back embarrassed.

God I hate when this happens a cute boy talks to me and then being myself I have to ruin everything. He smiled at me and then we both turned back to face the teacher.

"Okay now students I am going to pass out a sheet that you have to do with your partner you are basically going to fill it out for them." She explained. We got the sheets and turned to him.

' "So whats your full name" I asked.

"Justin McCann" He answered.
"What's your full name" He asked.
"Elizabeth McHenry" I answered.
I looked at the next question it read 'Middle Name(if has one)

"Do you have a middle name?" I questioned.
"Umm Drew" He answered looking into my eyes I had a hard time concentrating god why did he have to have amazing eyes.
"Do you?"
"Yeah Ariel"
"Thats a really pretty middle name." He said which made my face look like a red tomato. This boy will be the end of me. He smiled and chuckled oh and his laugh god why are you doing this to me!
I then looked at my paper again and read.
"How many members do you have in your family and who." I asked
"My mom Pattie and dad Jeremy but he doesn't live with us." He looked down while saying that last part.
"What about you?"
" My dad Matt and my little sister Samantha?"
I noticed he noticed I didn't mention my mom and knew I didn't want to talk about it. I saw then that we finished answering the questions.
"I guess we finished," I smiled.
"I guess so," He smiled back.
We looked back at the teacher who was helping another student with something.
"Hey Liz would you mind showing me around I new to this school and it sorta big," He asked
laughing.
"Yeah sure," I accepted
The rest of the class was about what was going to happen throughout the school year. The rung and I got up and started exiting the class. When I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and there stood Justin. "So want to give me that tour now" Justin asked.
"Oh yeah of course. Here let me see your classes to see where to start," I responded.

I looked at his classes and saw he had History next with me. "Okay so next you have history with me," I said. He nodded his head. The next twenty minutes was me showing him around.

"Okay now that were done want to go get lunch?" He asked as I nodded. We got in line and waited.
"So whats good here" he asked.

"The chicken fritters they are to die for" I answered rolling my eyes back as he chuckled. We got our lunch and sat down. I don't really have friends cause I really shy and I am the type of person who keeps to themselves. I used to have friends before my mom died but after that I just wanted to alone. This is the first time I eat lunch in the cafeteria I usually eat in the library while reading a book. So this is new for me. We were both quiet for about fifteen minutes but it wasn't awkward it was a nice king of quite.
"So umm how do you like the school so far?" I asked.

"Its nice but its still school," He joked. I laughed.
"Yeah school is a pain," I laugh.
"Hey do mind if I get your number you know for school purposes?" He stuttered.
"Oh yeah," I said while digging in my backpack to find a pen and a paper.
"Here you go," I handed the piece of paper to him.
"Thanks"
"Yeah no problem," I smiled at him.
"You have a beautiful smile". I could already feel the heat rise to my cheeks.
"Thanks"

I was about to get up and throw away my lunch and the bell rang. We walked to history and sat down at a desk because we could sit where ever we wanted. The rest of the class was a blur. The class was over and I said goodbye to Justin and walked to the bus stop but the time I was walking i couldn't stop thinking about Justin and why ever talked to me I mean no one has ever really talked to me because they wanted to and I was never asked for my number it was different. He was different.
