Chapter One

(My POV)
Me and the girls walk up to the front door of the tall building. I sweat a little. "Alright guys..." I say turning to them. I give them a brave smile, "After months of research and looking we've finally found Shito's hide out! It did take Bailee looking through EBay but hey at least we're here!" They all nod a bit. I sigh a bit and turn around. I knock on the door lightly. We stand there before someone opens the door.
"How can I help you?" It was a man's voice. I look up at him. He was really tall. He had light brown hair that went to his mid-neck. His eyes were slightly squinted. His skin was slightly tanned. I smile at him a bit. "Hi! We found your add on eBay! The one about basically people just doing around the house stuff." He nods a bight giving us a bright smile. "Of course! Let me take you guys to the boss!" The man says. He lets us in. "Thank you!" Me and Brittni say. I look over at her questioningly but shrug it off.
As we walk Brittni pulls me to the side with Kelly. "Not gonna lie that guy's kinda cute.." Brittni says. I give her a look while Kelly nods encouragingly. "Brit... Do you understand that he is one of the people that we are trying to catch?! Also I wanna you to know how serious I am when I say this... Do. Not. Catch. Feelings!" I whisper yell, "That goes for you too Kelly..." Brittni rolls her eyes and sighs. "Kinzie I promise I won't catch feelings..." She says. "I also promise not to catch feelings! Mainly because I don't wanna get hurt when we have to lock them up." Kelly says. I nod and go back to the front of the group. The others were talking while I think to myself. "What's gonna happen? What if she figures us out right away?" I ask in my head. I was soon snapped out of my thoughts.
"We're here!" He says. He was about to knock on the door until we heard a lady yelling from the other side, "NOW GET OUT OF MY OFFICE!" I flinch a little. Two men come running out of the office before I could get a good look at him. The man that's been leading us opens the door a bit while knocking. "Boss..?" He asks poking his head in. "WHAT?!" He flinches a bit. "Oh shit... Sorry Cameron... What's up..?" The woman asks. He steps out of the way for us to walk in. "These ladies are here for the job you sent out." He says while gesturing to us. She looks at us. "Not gonna lie she's really pretty. Wait no! Makinzie what are you thinking?! But she pretty! Fine we can think she's pretty but don't catch feelings!" I says in my head. As she looks at us I swear that our eyes locked for a solid ten seconds. I blush a little. She seemed to smirk. "Alright Cameron! Thank you! You may leave now," She says standing up. Cameron nods but before he left he gave Brittni a slight glance. I need to watch out for him then... I can't let him get Brittni all lovesick just to get hurt... Not again. I look back at the woman. By now I would have to assume she's one - the leader and two - Bayles. Bayles walks over to us. She walks in front of each of the girls shaking their hand a little. Once she got to me she also shook my hand but her hand kept holding mine. "What's your name?" She asks. "I'm Makinzie... My friends call me Kinzie though..." I says giving her a soft smile. She smiles back nodding. "I'm Mallory Bayles. I'm the owner of this building and the leader of this company," She says letting go of my hand and throwing her hands in the air. I laugh a little, "As I would assume."
After a bit she learns the other's names and we talk about what we would do around the building. We each chose things that we were good at and things that would help us look for clues in different rooms. "Now Makinzie..." Mallory starts, "There's another thing I would like you to do as well as the things you we request doing." I look at her and nod for her to continue. "I want you to be my personal helper. Take things to people for bring, get me things from other people in the building, bring me my food if I don't go to the dining room, etc. Since you seem like one of the most trustable people in the room. No offense ladies.." She finishes. I nod. "If that's what you'd like," I say. "Alright! Since that's settled I'll take you to your room! For you ladies Brandon and Sam will show you to your rooms." Mallory says grabbing my hand. I blush a little. I wave goodbye to my friends and walk with Mallory. I sigh a little as we walk. I hope my friends can handle themselves. I also hope I can handle this...
