"Zach! That's enough!" He continues to throw random bags and boxes of things in the cart with a wide grin on his face. Finally, when we get to the end of the aisle he stops.
"Thank you," I sigh while my lips twitch into a smile.
"Come on, I'll pay for half."
"Such a gentleman," I roll my eyes in a joking manner.
"Psh, I know." We start to pile the stuff on the conveyer belt. Everything comes up to $231.59, I don't mind paying for it all because its my parents money and I just hope they become broke. So I insist that Zach doesn't pay for any of it.
We get into the apartment at 5pm and we immediately put everything away. I go to open a bag of chips we got when we're done but he stops me by snatching them out of my grip.
"Hey, hey, heyyy."
"Hay is for horses, so go find your way back to your owner." I pout as I try to reach for the chips.
"We are going on my little surprise thingy for you." He smiles and puts the chips back.
"Fine, is it fancy? Do I need to go get dressed?"
"Nope! But it might be cold so just take a jacket or slide your flannel on."
"Okie dokie." I say as we head to the door. I grab my keys from my hanger next to the door and run to the elevator that takes us to the lobby. I jump to halt and a couple seconds later I get knocked over by Zach who is now laying on my back.
"Ouch..." I mumble. He quickly gets to his feet and starts to apologize multiple times as he helps me get up. "Its fine, I just don't understand why you would keep running when you knew the elevator was here." I give him a confused look.
"I thought we were going to play tag or some shit and I thought you were going down the stairs."
"Oh my gosh... Meeting you in person makes me realize how stupid you really are." I let out a short laugh.
"Hey..."
"You say 'hey' a lot."
"Hey."
"Stop!" I playfully push him. I push the button to the elevator that has the arrow going down. Two old people show up when the doors open so Zach steps to the side. When doing this he manages to step on my foot making us fall, once again. But this time I land on my back and he lands on top of me on his stomach. Our faces are a couple inches away, so I quickly push him off before it gets awkward.
"Oh my! Are you children okay?" The old woman asks.
"We're fine Miss, thank you for asking." I start to get up and dust the imaginary dust off my butt.
"Oh, are you sure? Seemed like a pretty hard fall."
"Yep." I smile. Zach gets up beside me and steps into the elevator and I walk in after him.
"What happened to the ladies first rule?" I look at him in all seriousness. He starts to blush.
"Kidding, kidding." I press the button on the elevator to go to the lobby. After we pick up a person from the second floor sense I live on the third, it brings us all to the lobby. Zach takes my hand and pulls me out and catches a taxi.
"So I brought my keys for no reason?" I ask.
"Pretty much," He answers with a little shrug of the shoulders. I jump in the cab after and so does Zach. I watch as Zach hands the driver a slip of paper with the place he's taking me on it.
"So, where do you live?" I ask.
"Why? Creep." He jokes.
"Yeah, says the one who surprised me at my apartment." I playfully roll my eyes.
"Okay, I live in Los Angles, California."
"Really? I'm moving out there in July."
"So like," He counts the months and days with his fingers. "One month and four days."
"Wow, congratulations! You can count!" I pat his shoulder. He gives me a wide, proud smile. He's teeth are literally so white and like perfect. Hm, what if he likes me. Oh my gosh his outfit is so perfect.
Shit.
Great, I got caught staring. I'm never going to hear the end of this.
"Take a picture it lasts longer." I blush but cover it up with probably the worst comeback in history.
"If I ever did I would burn it." I mentally face palm myself. Why would I take a picture and burn it? What the fuck is wrong with you, Poppey? He lets out a loud laugh.
"You sure? I think you'd frame it, kiss it everynight, and-"
"Lalalala!" I plug my ears and scream. But in seconds I see extremely bright lights shine in the widow to my left and before I know it everything goes black.
