Annika grew up in the mysterious Red Room, the place where the all so famous Natasha Romanoff got trained. Except, back in Russia, she is known by a different name. Natalia Alianovna, one of the most successful assassins the Red Room ever had. One of the few to gain the title, Black Widow, from graduating from the Red Room. But she left that life behind, going to America, and becoming a 'Avenger'. Only problem is, the people who trained her want her back. And they will take whatever they have to.

Here is where Annika comes in. She is the youngest girl ever to graduate from the Red room at the young age of thirteen. As a baby, she was found left by the gates of the building, abandoned. Left with only a first name, they decided to take her in. She grew up there, starting her training much younger than the six year olds that are dropped off. With that start, and simply never knowing anything else, made her much more dangerous than any other girl there. She started missions at six, being able to do more damage because of her younger age.

They found another mission for her, one that was unique from all of her others. She had to befriend the young Spider-Man, and get him to show her the other Avengers. So she could bring the older Black Widow home.

All of my first memories were inside that building.

The people inside, mainly Madame B, raised me from when I was simply a baby.

Now, this did not mean she was like a mother to me.

Or, at least what I heard mothers were like from the other girls.

They missed theirs, always crying for weeks after being brought here, wanting to just go home.

Most didn't have mothers, much like myself, but they all had someone who cared about them, someone who would care for them, and they weeped for them too.

This always puzzled me.

Why weep, when you are in a place of great honor?

We get to follow in the footsteps of some of the greatest female assassins of all time, in the same place where they learned.

Others would weep for their friends, the ones they would have to kill in training.

Another thing that puzzled me.

Why would you create bonds with the people you were competing against?

And if they were not strong enough to succeed in simply the training, they should not deserve tears.

They were much too weak.

I stayed with girls, up to five years older than me, and still had less trouble than them.

Even when we danced, and our feet bleed, other girls would cry or walk sore after, not understanding how this would help them.

They just couldn't see it.

They often called me robotic over the years, but it was not an insult, in fact, they asked how I did it.

In three years of girls, I was the only one to graduate.

The other girls were just too weak.

But, when the graduation ceremony came, and I was doing my tests, they couldn't finish it, due to my young age.

They told me of the medical procedure that would help me in the future, but they couldn't do just yet.

They had to wait until my body developed further.

Over the two years after graduation, I had hunted down more people than I could count.

Whether I just brought them in, or killed them on the spot varied, neither of which bothered me.

I was simply robotic, doing whatever mission they told me to do, no matter what it was, or what I had to do to someone.

I never saw another option, although, I never really looked.
