Josh's POV

Samuel's heat lasted for a couple days and as soon as he was okay we were on the run again.the past couple of weeks was hectic,I had began catching up scents of wolves that were following us us,they are close I could feel it and it makes my wolf restless,the urge to protect my mate is growing every second

" josh,are you alright?" The soft voice of my mate whispered and I snapped out of my thoughts,I smiled before kissing his forehead and he giggled lightly,I couldn't thank the moon goddess enough,she made a good choice pairing me up with this angel.

" yeah,am fine,why do you ask anyway?" I asked glancing at him,he is getting quite pale lately and my assumption was that he isn't getting a lot of rest but I also fear he might be getting sick.
Biting his chapped lips,he opened his mouth to say something but instead,he puked.
It happened so fast that I had no time to react,I dropped my bag and rushed to his side,crouching down with him I pat his back as he dry heave.

Washing his mouth with water he sighed as he rested his head on my chest.

" are you alright?" I asked after sometime and he scoff at the question
" I am almost puking my insides out what sort of stupid question is that?!" He snapped and moved away,I raised my eye brows in confusion

What did I do?

We continue our journey and throughout our walk,samuel was seriously fuming,he was never like this before,heck I haven't seen him like this before and we could say that this new side of samuel Jonathan scares me.
It is starting to get dark and we call it a day,we sat down and started eating the food we brought,we didn't utter a word to each other and I found myself thinking about what was going to happen once all of this over,I am going to build my own family raise my kids and live happily with my mate.

And that was when it dawned on me,what if sam is already with my kids? The last time we did it...I didn't...shit!
I took a look at him again and all colors drained from my face,it could be possible,fuck what have I done to us?
" what are you looking at?" Sam said glaring at me,mood swings.
I gulped and shook my head
" nothing" I reply but still,I was still secretly eyeing him just so I could dected anything.
The only thing I could pray for at the moment was that my suspicion to be false,I dont want to put the life of my mate in danger I can't afford to lose him.

The next day was a little bit better,Samuel was less grumpy and he laughed,played around then we reached the river and he said he wanted to swim and I told him to go ahead but he insist that I join him but I didn't want to because of his safety we will never know when the enemies could pop out of the shadows,they may be lurking waiting for the slight chance to attack us seeing our vulnerable state.
Because he couldn't get his way,he began crying, seriously if i may I add.it was confusing and I had no choice than to strip and gave in.

" you happy now?" I asked obviously bored,he giggled and splash me with water,I growled playfully and starts chasing him,I tickled him, tease him and then when he got tired we got out of the water,getting dressed quickly,he turned and faced me with a paled expression
" what?" I asked confused he didn't talk instead he pointed behind me,I turned  and ...there it is the answer

" shit,we are surrounded" I whispered quietly and immediately moved to protect my mate but I hadn't been able to move two steps before I was tackled down,I growl angrily and tried to break free but the wolf was really smart,he knew all my moves even before I could do anything.he pinned me down,easily and I hated every second of it.

I raised my head to look at my mate who was also pinned down,he whined as his wolf struggled to fight off the wolf but he was just so...weak.
" why are you trespassing on our land"  a man asked coming out of the woods,he was wearing only shorts and with the way his muscles bulge out I was sure that he works out a lot.

Before I could answer him other wolfs emerged from their hiding places and the muscle man told them to carry us to the prison

" our alpha would like to chat with you" he said smirking mischievously

I already hate this guy
" take care of that omega he is with children" he said to the wolves carrying samuel,my eyes widen as I realize...Samuel is pregnant!
