Myoui Mina would like to think of herself as a smart person.
Not because of her grades, although she did have some of the best ones in her class and if you asked people around her they'd reveal how high her IQ is, but no. She was firm believer that when it came to college, all you needed was responsibility to achieve what you were aiming for.
Mina was smart because she just knew how to act around people.
She knew what to do, what to say, when to push some buttons and when to stay quiet. Yes, Mina knew her ways with those around her. It of course wasn't something she said out loud, but she gave herself credit for it. She always knew how to behave, with the exception of one scenario: the one where she was under the effects of alcohol.
And that just happened to be the situation right there and then.
She had thought that, just for this once, instead of making her next-day-experience a living hell, it'd actually help to push every single feeling that was taking over her body down. But god was she wrong.
The night started well for her. After much convincing from her friends the whole week long, she decided to give in just for the sake of her sanity. Because she swore that if she had to listen to Nayeon telling her to get over she who sall not be named one more time, she was going to snap. But at the end of the she thought to herself that maybe, just maybe this wasn't the worst idea in the world.
It had been around four months since she got heartbroken anyway
_____________
Mina was young, but she hoped that by her 22 years if life she had already experienced the majority of hurting that came along with being in love. Because hell, as chessy as it may sound, there had been a lot of heartache coming from the relationship she spent so many years dreaming about. She didn't regret it, though. No matter how many times she'd fallen down the rabbit hole, she tried keeping in mind that these were all simply experiences, each one of them building her up to the best version of herself sometimes. There was a little problem, though.
All of these life lessons came in the shape of Yoo Jeongyeon.
And, if we're honest, Mina would go down that road an endless amount of times if the girl simply asked her to.
Mina was sure Jeongyeon loved her. At least a little, no matter how much she'd hurt her in the past.
Their relationship was far from perfect, yes. But Jeongyeon wasn't anything other than happy during the time they were together, Mina would like to think. And if Jeongyeon was happy, then Mina was happier solemnly because of that.
Loving with your soul is never a good thing. Everyone knows that a romance between two people is destined to sooner or later go wrong, especially if you're just an average young girl who hasn't even spent half of her lifespan yet. When Mina found her cruch growing into something else she knew she was absolutely doomed - but there was no going back. She was certain about it.
She would never forget the day she met her.
In fact, she didn't think there was anything about Yoo Jeongyeon that she could ever bring herself to forget. All it took was one biology assignment in her last year of high school to fall head over heels for the brunette, and she instantly felt it. That wasn't just a little liking anymore, she started staying up a little longer, caught herself staring at her just a little longer and fell for her every day a little more, but hardly at last.
