The Epic Tale of The Freaks

Chapter three

I wasn't surprised the prince was out of breath as he followed me while I was on horseback but the fact that he followed me all the way into the forest is what does. He looks exhausted and I kinda feel sorry for him so I jump off my mount and leave Spots and continue my journey on foot.

Which I shouldn't have as his face lights up with joy and he starts to speak after being quiet all this time. "So you're not a heartless person you try to appear to be" I remain silent hoping that if I do he can become quiet again but he still continues "your name is Neith right and you're a wolf born and the reason you became a blood hunter was to embrace that side of you but also seek control of your beast side, well that is what Kelro told me, I'm Lucas Walker, son of the king and son of the Glenda Walker." Another reason I hate rich their is their long names but I noticed that he didn't have the King last name so it must be true he is a bastard also I need to kill Kelro when I get back.

I hear a branch snap and I stop and look around not seeing anything I use my scent of smell and I noticed the stench of goblins so I pull up my bow and ready it with an arrow. Lucas seeing this pulls out his own sword and ready it and ask "I know you don't want to speak but what exactly are we facing?" I speak not looking over and paying attention to the tree lines and say "Goblins."

Then arrows shoot from the tree line, two of the ten hit me scraping the side of my face and arm not doing too much damage as none pierce the armour. However the same couldn't be said for the prince as three arrows hit him two weren't so bad as it pierces the arm and leg but one hit the base of his neck which should be bleeding a lot but the arrow is stopping the flow he stumbles but doesn't go down probably from the adrenaline.

The goblins rush up towards us ten in total and switch from their crossbows to scimitars five were on me and five on the prince. Since my bow was in my hands I drop it to pull out my sword then I aim to slash one of them which connects and my sword completely slashed the goblin in two halves then I aim for another piercing it through the stomach I pull my sword out and it fell dead. Lucas not paying mind to his wound uses his sword to aim for one on him which just connects but it takes off the goblin head then he bites down on his teeth and takes another attack which hits but doesn't completely kill the goblin but wounds it.

The goblins aim to get revenge to start attacking. The three on me attack but only two connect as I block the first one the two slash me in the back piercing my skin a bit similarly the four on the prince attack him all four connect due to the initial injury and the onslaught makes him go down maybe he is unconscious maybe he is dead I don't know. Seeing this I decided to get serious I concentrate and I curse the prince using the curse of the fallen puppet making the prince attack the goblin in front of him as the last act of aggression which hits the already injured one which completely kills it then bringing both the prince and the goblin down. I attack the three in front of me killing two of them then all of the rest of them rushes over to me and attack all at once three out of the four-hit me which I don't mind too much as it doesn't hurt so much but all the damage is starting to add up and I was beginning to slow down.

I take my sword and attack missing the one I was aiming for but I attack again this time hitting one killing it but then I used the same curse again making it hit its companion killing them and both went down dead. Two was left one who sees what I can do start to run away, but I take the opportunity to attack them as their back was turned and pushed my sword through it back straight through till it reaches the other side then pull my sword back leaving a dead goblin. The last one seeing this tries to attack me as its last effort but completely missed and I attack twice cutting it into four pieces.

Once the last one was dead I rush over to the prince luckily for him he was stable so I cut the ears off the goblins putting it in my pouch, grab my bow and arrow putting my bow over my shoulder and my arrow back in its quiver and carry the prince to Spots and I jump on the horse as well and ride us back to town.
