Colby and I have been dating for a year now. I love him so much, but he's been distant lately. I don't know what's wrong.

Colby's pov

Rose and I have been dating for a year now. I love her so much. But, I don't want to hurt her later on, I'm a vampire. I want what's best for her. I talked to the roomates and they reluctantly agreed that we are a danger to her. So, tonight I'm gonna take Rose out on a walk and the roomates will be gone by the time Rose and I get back. I'll tell her and I'll leave, then she can be safer and happier. She is the best fighter after all. That's why I've been distant.

Colby told me that we are going out on a walk earlier. So, here I am now walking with him in the forest. Then, he stopped walking and turned to me.

Colby: We have to leave.

Rose: What? Why? I like it here.

Colby shook his head.

Colby: Rose, I meant me and the roomates are leaving. Your staying here.

Rose: No! You- You can't leave me here!

Colby: Your 18, you can take care of yourself.

Rose: Are they making you do this?

He ignored my question.

Colby: Rose, I don't want you to come.

I gasped, I looked into his eyes. They weren't the usual liquid gold color that they were when he looked at me. They were a cold, hard golden color.

Rose: Y-You don't want me?

Colby: No.

He said it so coldly, it hurt.
I shook my head.

Rose: Is this why you've been so distant lately? You don't love me anymore?

He looked at me.

Colby: I don't want you, I'm sorry I let this go on for so long.

Rose: So that magical night a week ago meant nothing to you?

He looked sad for a moment, but as quick as it came was as quick as it was gone.

Colby: No, it meant nothing to me.

I was tearing up.

Colby: Goodbye, Rose.

He said kissing my forehead before running off.

He doesn't love me. It was too good to be true. That's why he was so distant, he doesn't love me. Did he ever love me?

My depression kicked into my thoughts.

He doesn't love me. So, I have to at least try to move on. And with that I headed back home.
