Whoever said half bread was better than none clearly wasnt hungry enough.
Zara Fenty -POV
The weather, though hotter than expected was ideal for a day out in the beach Zara thought even though deep down she knew any time spent with Andrew was more than ideal!. She smiled and looked up at her bestfriend for fifteen years, Andrew who was just about to take off his shirt, even though she should have looked away, he was her best friend and she had a sort of right to feast on the body beneath that shirt . As Andrew took off his shirt her jaw dropped and all she could think of was magnificent.
Zara forced her self to stop drooling, he was just her best friend she reminded herself even though for the better part of fifteen years she had yearned for more from her best friend.
The ring from the phone startled Zara from her thoughts that had begun to travel an unholy path, expecting Andrew to answer the phone, he simply let it go to voice mail and Zara grinned a clear indication she was about to be mischievous 'so Mr lover boy whose the lucky lady about to get her heart smashed this time?' Andrew laughed, 'uuh ohh I know that look you're going to play me into giving you information about my love life ' Zara smiled 'well its just Stephanie probably calling to remind me of our date tomorrow' Zara rolled her eyes which made Andrew burst into laughter.
'I know I said I was going to end the relationship when I saw realised I wasn't that into her but anytime I decide to bring up the issue she does something amazing ' Andrew sighed . Zara smirked at him because she knew exactly what that amazing something was .
'Listen Andrew you're my best friend and that's why I will try to give an advice of course you know you don't have to take it but don't string stephanie along for too long she's such a nice girl and I love that she gives me discount from her boutique which is by the way , so please don't make her fall for you if you won't reciprocate'. Part of me felt like I would have told him to try and make it work instead of making it easier for him to toss her aside.
Andrew Lloyd -POV
Zara has always been the type to think things through to avoid dire consequence , which was one of the things I loved about her. Zara's advice was just about the motivation I needed to end things with stephanie. I've been seeing stephanie for about six months now, at first there was a connection but as time went on I realised we both wanted different things for our future .
'Fine ! Fine! I'll end things with stephanie.' And that brought a smile to Zara's face and I felt my inside turn just exactly the way it did for almost half of fifteen years of our frienship . Deep down I knew I didn't want this gorgeous lady to be just my best friend but call me a chicken for not being man enough to let my feelings known , for all I know she might freak out and I'll end up losing my best friend. Staying friends is way better than nothing at all .
'Andrew!! ' I hear my name which brings me out from my deep thought. 'Yes , Zara ' I reply 'jeez! You're such a weirdo, I wonder what perverted thought you're having now' her taunt makes me smile 'actually, I was thinking about what it will be like to be single by tomorrow night , let me see, freedom!,' . We both laugh but Zara goes on to say 'one day, you won't be laughing this hard if you dont change'.
