Never in my life had I been more nervous. After five months of me and jack dating, he asked a massive question. And it ain't to marry him. It was to go see his family. I've never met them before so this was a massive step in our relationship. All I could think about was what if they dont like me or they don't think I'm good enough for jack. I mean after all, he played for Aston villa and all I was, was an average person from Birmingham who went to school with him. We where friends for a long time and then when i was 13 he stopped. Said he didn't want to be seen with me. 9 years later we met in the pub and those 9 years that we missed, he paid up for them. He then asked me out and as you can tell we are now together. Hes gave so much for me. And no I'm not a gold digger. I liked him ever since primary. I couldn't care less if he was a poor boy working in bloody Tesco, I would still wanna go out with him.
I woke up early in the morning to my alarm. I quickly switched it off and saw it was 8:00 in the morning. I looked over to my left and saw my perfect boyfriend laying down snoring lightly. I smiled gently and kissed his cheek. I gently got out of bed and walked downstairs. I checked the calendar and saw that it was today I had to go and see Jack's parents. My heart beated faster than ever. I felt sick. Yes I've seen his parents before but that was on a school playground and that was bloody years ago. I've seen girls that have dated jack before. Famous, pretty girls. People who actually have a decent career. I put the oven on and started getting the food to make a full English. Just as I was grabbing a plate from the shelf, I felt arms around my waste. I smiled and put the plate down. "Morning, you ready for today" he mumbled in his morning voice. I just nodded my head and slipped out of his arms. "What's up" he said confused. "Nothin" I said going in the fridge to get some water. "Okkkkk" he said sitting down.
After we had eaten our food in silence, I rushed upstairs to go and get ready. I quickly went to have a shower and washed my hair. I cleaned my teeth quickly.After drying myself i rushed into mine and Jack's room and went to look for an appropriate outfit.

I kept messing with my hair until I found a cute style. I put on some mascara and pink lip gloss on. I put on the necklace that jack got me for my 24th birthday. My hands started to shake and my breathing was getting faster. I then felt hands on my shoulders. I jumped a little bit and turned around. "Seriously maisie, what's the matter, you've been acting weird all morning" he said crouching down next to the stool that I was sitting on. "I'm fine jack, just had a nightmare" I said feeling horrible for lying. "Ok sure, but we have an hour before we have to go " he said kissing my lips gently. I kissed back and then pulled apart. He walked to the wardrobe and got his outfit ready. (At top). I went downstairs so that he could get changed. I put my denim jacket on and grabbed my phone and put my boots on that I just love. I was getting really nervous. I looked at my outfit in the mirror and started to get panicked. I know that I shouldn't be worrying this much but I'm in love with this person and I dont want to leave him, and I also don't want to mess up something that is important because if the parents dont like me, maybe they won't want jack to be with me. I heard jack eushing down the stairs and I ran up to him. I jumped in his arms once he was down the stairs and he caught me thankfully. I was shaking bad and he could tell "Maisie, tell me the truth, you've been off all day" he said placed one hand under my thighs and one he put on my waist. "I'm scared jack" I said looking in his eyes. "Why" he said searching my face for answers "I'm scared that your parents wont like me or they wont want me to be with you. You've dated amazing girls that your family probably loved and then theres me and-" "And nothing, they're gonna love you, theres nothing not to love about you, and I want to be with you ok, that's whats matters ok" he said pecking my lips. I nodded my head not wanting to say anything thinking I'd cry. He placed me down and pecked my lips once more. I put my coat on and he put his jacket on. We went outside and locked the door. We made our way to his car and got in it. We put the radio on but I didnt wanna sing, I was way to nervous. My knees where bouncing and my hands where tapping my knees. I then felt a hand on my knee, I looked at jack and he looked at me for a moment smiled and looked back at the road. "We should be about ten minutes away" he said taking a left. I took in a deep breath and exhaled getting more nervous. My fingers where messing with the hem of my jacket. "Maisie, calm down baby, its gonna be ok" he said still looking at the road. I smiled slightly even though he couldnt see me. We then where pulling up in a driveway. My heart was beating and my palms began to sweat. "Jack please I dont think I can do it, i feel sick can we just reschedule and come back next week" I said placing my hands on his knees. He switched the engine off and took his seatbelt off. He turned to face me and grabbed my hands. "Baby, your going to be fine, they will love you, you are the most amazing genuine down to earth person in the world I know. You arent fake and my parents are gonna be happy I'm with you, they liked you when we where in primary so you'll be fine, ok, I promise you" he said. I nodded my head and smiled a genuine smile "ok just take deap breaths in and out" he said. I took the breaths that he was telling me to do. "I forgot to say how beautiful you look today" he said smirking and then winking. I blushed and roled my eyes. "You scrape up good as well grealish" I said taking my seatbelt off. He roled his eyes and we made our way out of the car. Jack walked up to me and grabbed my hand. He gave it a light squeeze as a signal to say I was going to be ok. We made our way up to the house and jack knocked on the door. A few seconds later the door opened and there stood Jack's mom "Jack, hello honey, is this your girlfriend " she said looking at me up and down. "Hey mom, and yes this is maisie." He said smiling down at me. I smiled at jack and then at his mom. She smiled back and then stood to the side saying come in. Jack let go of my hand as we made our way inside. We took our shoes off and jack took my coat off for me placing it on the rack. I thanked him and we made our way into the living room. "Maisie sit down" his dad said. I sat down and jack sat next to me placing his arm around my shoulder. "So how long have you guys been dating" his mom said "Five months now" I said smiling. They gave me a slight smile and turned to jack. "I thought you where going out with emily" his dad said. "Dad not now" jack said. I had heard about Emily. She was a bitch and was horrible to jack. "Honey, can you go help your dad get the drinks please" his mom said. He nodded his head and walked outside to get the drinks "Maisie, you have changed jack for the best, he was in a bad place and you have changed him for the best, you are such an amazing, beautiful girl, I remember you for primary, I always wanted jack to get with you. Jack has never been happier than he is with you, and I'm so happy hes found an amazing person" she said. "That means so much to me, I love jack so much it's crazy, I've always wanted to be with him, and I'm happy I've changed him, inhaled seeing him in a bad place and risking his career " I said tearing up. She walked up to me and gave me a hug. I hugged her back and then we heard them come back in. Jack gave me my water whilst he sat down in his previous position drinking his coke. "So where do you work" the dad said. "I work at villa park and I work at an acting group part time" inside hoping they would care about my jobs. They nodded their heads and then took out a book. "We know how much you mean to jack, we've heard a lot about you, and we only show these pictures to who we think are going to be keepers, so we havent actually shown anyone yet. " she said showing me a photo album. Jack grabbed my waist and pulled me onto his lap so that his parents could sit down next to us. They where telling me stories and showing embarrassing pictures from primary and older years. They where telling funny stories that made jack get embarrassed but me laugh my head off. They where talking about his siblings and all about their family. They then went to go and get the food leaving me and jack alone. Jack spun me around still on his lap so I was facing him. I placed my hands on his shoulders "I told you they would love you" he muttered "Ok grealish, you where right, but I'm just happy they like me" "My dad said that I had to keep you, he thinks your a nice person, but trust me theres no way I'm letting the love of my life go" he said. I was shocked. Hes just admitted he loved me. I looked in between his eyes and saw his freckles that I absolutely love. "You love me" I whispered "Of course I do, I've wanted to say it for a long time, but I couldnt find the right time to tell you." He whispered leaning in closer "I love you so god damn much jack it's crazy, I never want to leave you" I whispered feeling his nose brush against mine. I grabbed his face and kissed him. This was a different kiss though, we where both trying to show our love for each other in one single kiss. We then heard an "awwwww" we broke the kiss and looked to see his parents and a camera. "Mommmmmm seriously " jack said going red. I couldnt say much, I bet my cheeks where as red as his.
For the rest of the day, we where telling each other stories laughing, looking at videos of jack and watching villa highlights. I was curled up to jack and was looking up at him. He had amazing eyes and his jaw was amazing. He was just a handsome person who I was grateful I had in my life. Jack must have felt my stare on him as he looked down at looked me in the eyes "What you looking at" he whispered "The love of my life" I mumbled pecking his cheek and carried on watching the villa highlights. We checked the time and saw it was 9:32. "Ok mom, dad, we're gonna head off, it's getting late" jack said unwrapping his arm from my waist. We all stood up and we made our way to the front door. I put my boots on and jack helped put my jacket on. I hugged his mom and said thank you for having me "It was fine love, we hope to see you again" she said kissing my cheek. I shook his dads hand and he said goodbye and hope to see me again. Jack gave them a kiss and we made our way to the car. We put the radio back on and we reversed out of the driveway. We waved to his parents and we made our way back home "That was better than expected " I said smiling "See they loved you, there was nothing to worry about" jack said placing his hand on my knee keeping his focus on the road. I roled my eyes and we sand nearly every song on the way back. Once we got home we got dressed and went to bed and just layed there. "I'm so happy I'm with you " I said facing him. "Same here, you changed me for the better and I couldnt be more happy about that, inwant to be with you for the rest of my life" he said gacing me as well. We both leaned in and gave a simple yet passionate kiss. We pulled apart and I could feel my eyes closing."night Jack, I love you" I mumbled curling up to him. The last thing I rememberd was him kissing my forehead and him saying I love you too. I went to sleep happy knowing that I had made a good impression to Jack's family.
