Saying that Chi-Sun wasn't expecting to be where she is right now would be an understatement. A big one of that is.

Blinking her eyes several times she slaps herself hard across the cheek, making an echoey sound travel across the white, bouncy clouds, that looks a lot like white candyfloss.

She widens her eyes as she takes a spin and looks around another time at the never-ending scenery with the blue sky and the calm clouds splayed around her like vanilla frosting on a cake. They move constantly, flowing as sheets of hundred feet apart, yet giving the appearance of one dense layer at the same time.

Chi-Sun runs a shaky hand through her freshly dyed ice-blond hair, that she just got done at the hair salon she remember she got out of. She walked through Sinsa, turned right at the GC25 store, pushed aside the thought of buying an iced strawberry latte, went further down the mainroad, watched the last cherry blossoms fall to the ground, pulled up her phone from the pocket of her jacket, spoke to her mother. . .

"Am I dead?" She whisper to herself, biting down on her bottom lip as she slowly moves towards a cloud to sit on it, her thoughts roaming around in her head just like the clouds are doing so beneath her.

"What on earth do you think you're doing?!"

Chi-Sun jumps up before she gets to sit down, her feet solidly planted on the small porch-like ground she was on before. She turns her head making her eyes set on a big figure moving close to her in a fast speed, so fast that a big wind makes her loose her balance slightly.

Her mouth is agape as she swallows harshly, tilting her head upwards as she studies the intruder.

A tall male in a long white gown looks down at her, his skin beautifully fair and almost porcelain-like while his eyes are a striking coral-blue color. Draping down his back is a pair of crystal-white angel wings, so long that they reach the ground. His long, blonde hair is tied into a manbun, and Chi-Sun has to squint her eyes at his blinding aura, an almost silvery halo surrounding him.

"Okay, I get it — enough with the light show, huh?" The man chuckles as he claps his hand twice, making the shiny halo around him disappear within an instant, "Sorry, it's a bad habit. Welcome to heaven!"

Chin-Sun is frozen in her movements as she watches the man stride around unbothered, seeing how he snaps his fingers once and a chair appears for him to sit on it and then tosses his feet over a desk that's suddenly on the platform as well.

"Impressive, I know. . . And just so you know, you can't just sit on clouds! Are you out of your mind? You're not on earth anymore, you can't think about clouds as motherfucking candyfloss or something like that. If I didn't warn you, you would've been down there by now," the man points down from the platform as he blows away the clouds, making the surface of earth on display, "looking like a whole pancake."

"Hold up—" Chi-Sun stammers.

"Oh and I'm Archangel Azrael by the way. In charge of newcomers like you, Chin-Sun. Sure you'll have a blast here. Now let me have a look at you. . ." He stands from his seat and moves closer to the smaller girl now, while he grabs a paper from the pocket of his gown.

"Lee Chi-Sun, 23 years old, lived in Seoul with your mother and older brother, studied at Korean National University of Arts— oh wait you didn't anymore, sorry about that, you know our system isn't always up to date. . ."

"How do you know all of this?" Chi-Sun interrupts Azrael, making him cock up an eyebrow from his paper and glance at the young woman, who's know standing with her arms across her chest.

Azrael chuckles lightly, clenching his jaw a little.

"I'm an angel, isn't that pretty obvious? Look at these big ass wings?"

Chi-Sun narrows her eyes at the confident angel and rolls her eyes in annoyance. Azrael scoffs and puts a hand at his chest, making an overdramatic reaction.

"Let me get a closer look at you missy." Azrael grabs Chi-Sun by her shoulders gently and makes her stand still by using his mind to control her. Chi-Sun opens her mouth in surprise and then close her mouth in aggravation as she shoots daggers with her eyes in Azraels direction.

"Your hair looks freshly dyed, love the ice-blond color, fits perfectly with the outfit I planned for you. Your eyes. . . dark honey-brown, the kind I'd like to drizzle on top of my stack of pancakes, your lips slightly small, but a pretty tint to it. Your nose. . . Is that a— a nose ring? Oh my dear father God, why?!" Azrael turns around and puts his head in his hands.

Chi-Sun smiles nonchalantly, poking her tongue into the side of her cheek.

"What, I'm not allowed in heaven now that I have a nose ring?"

Azrael turns and points at her threateningly.

"Who knows, you might have to pull that stupid ring out of your otherwise perfect nose!"

"Well, that's not going to happen, so guess I'll just stay out here." Chi-Sun shrugs her shoulders unbothered.

Azrael groans in exasperation and bites his bottom lip before he heaves in a sharp breath and grab the girl once again, this time spinning her around fast once, making her shriek out in surprise. As she's still again she's dizzy, Azrael still in front of her as a blurry mess.

"Chi-Sun you're looking like a whole freaking meal! Wow I really am amazing. . . Those wings. . . besides that nosering, though. Okay, I guess you're ready for heaven. Let's go!"

Squinting her eyes trying to follow Azrael through the clouds, she pinches her nose and forces an annoyed groan out of her throat.

"Call me Chi."

"Yeah, whatever. Let's go meet the others, Chi-Chi!"
