There she stood, back turned to the world. Over her shoulder; long, dirty blonde hair forming a cape in the wind, she threw a gentle smile. The corners of her lips curved just that tiny bit upwards, eyes half lidded and clouded over in remembrance. What used to be a vibrant sky of emotions, now an endless void piercing your soul. It was a beautiful, serene picture, but as nature is beautiful it was also ferociously deadly.
That smile, that god forsaken smile would now be lost to the waves below. Her body slowly; gracefully falling as if her fate was pre-destined. There was nothing you could do. You reached, but knew it was no use. When she was over the edge, you could not bare to look. You stood in your own silence, time accentually frozen. What was the point of all this?
You took steps closer to the edge, not staring down, but ahead. looking over your shoulder, hair fluttering in the wind, you smile behind to the spot you once stood, the same expression as the girl. Another person has taken your place, an arm stretched out. You and the girl do not share the same reasons, but ultimately share the same fate.
You close your eyes, and fall forward. Maybe someday, the next will be caught; saved. Until then, everything will repeat.

Short StoryGive it a read if you want, I'm not a great writer. There is really no need for a description. Also I do not own The picture. :)
