Jennie

She did not let me down. She gave me a reply the next day that she had set up the meeting with her supposed complainant and had agreed to meet us somewhere private.

And eventually that day is today. Informing me two days ahead before the actual settlement was beneficial as I had gone through every document and prepared myself for today's meeting.

The place we decided to meet was somehow secluded, it was a coffee shop outside town that offers private room for private meetings.
Minutes later, I saw a girl accompanied with a man dressed in his suit which led me to believe that the girl is the client and the guy was a counsel.

"Good morning. You must be Attorney Kim?" I nodded subtly.

"It's nice to meet you. Would it be alright to wait for a while befire we start? Ms. Manoban was somehow caught in a traffic." I said as I directed then to take their seats.

It was then that we heard the glass door openend, arriving in a brown full suit, Lisa strutted towards us exuding with atmost charisma drawing people's attention towards her.

"Sorry I am late. Shall we start?" And as expected she went down to business.

It was Attorney Dawn who began "As you all know, and as stated in our complaint, we just wanted a compensation for the company's violation of terminating Hyuna's contract just like that." He began explaining even further. I observed how his client was already squirming on her seat as my seatmate was glaring daggers over their side.

I decided to clear my throat which Lisa might have caught up to and soften her gaze elsewhere.

"I totally understand your point with that but you do know that we have evidences that could turn your allegations as merely allegations." I took note of the attorney's reaction as he had froze in his seat. "But we are willing to cooperate to safeguard both our reputation. This is the best we could offer, 50,000,000 won for settlement, nothing more nothing less. If you decline then we would see each other in court and that would be tiresome." They glanced at each other. And then her lawyer sighed in understanding.

"Okay. We will accept the offer." I joyfully rejoiced in my mind as it was the answer that I had expected.

I then handed to him the contract which states that after this settlement they would not dare to file a complaint of the same matter as this document would be a proof that the said concerned was already settled.

After both parties had signed, we shaked each others hand for formalities sake.

When they left, I was also fixing my stuff prepare to take my leave but she suddenly spoke.

"Jennie" her voice was solemn that made me face her. "Thank you... I mean for making it easier."

"It is my job. I did what I had to do." I took in how she had looked for the day as I felt it would be the last time to see her that way, close in person. "If that would be all, I would take my leave Ms. Manoban, it was a pleasure to have served you." I bowed and left not waiting for her to reply.
