Violets POV:
I'm currently in my car hyperventilating.
I can't count how many times I've talked myself out of turning my ass around and just going back home. But I can't do that.
I really owe it to Dom to let him get everything off his chest. Yell at the top of his lungs at me if he wants to because I deserve it.
Granted, I know he would never yell at me. He isn't like that. He is literally the biggest teddy bear ever. You wouldn't think that looking at his 6'2 tattooed and muscular build.
I take a couple of deep breaths and give myself one final pep talk in my head and get out of my car.
Ash decided to make this meeting at the beach since she knows how much we both love it. She was smart in doing this in a peaceful and calming setting for us because who knows what's about to happen. This could change our lives in so many ways.
It's one of the most stunning days outside that I've seen since I've been home. The weather is perfect, not too hot and not too cold. There's only a few clouds in sight, and they offer the occasional shade when it does get a little toasty. I can't help but think it's karmas way of mocking me. I could end up with my heart broken all over again when we leave here and karma will just be there laughing in a corner and giving me the middle finger.
I groan at my dramatic imagination, no matter how much I actually believe that that's exactly what's going to happen. I can't think like that. I need to think positively.
The breeze is making my hair fly up and tickle my nose, and I have to make sure I'm not flashing anyone behind me with this loose summer dress that I have on.
I make it to the end of the dock and stand there for a few seconds taking in the view of the beach during the day that I missed the other night at the party. The way the sunlight reflects off of the clear blue water. The families gathered having a fun time getting drunk, swimming and playing in the sand. Seeing these people happy brings a sad smile to my face. My heart constricts painfully in the memory of coming here every weekend when I was younger with my dad. I shake myself out of the sad thoughts and I take another quick look around looking for that handsome familiar face that I'm so nervous yet so eager to see. I spot him easily since he's making a show of waving his hands frantically in my direction.
I laugh out loud to myself at how much of a goof ball he still is and bend down to pick up the sandals I just recently slipped off. I make quick work of walking through the sand, a normally difficult task to some, to get to him. Since I was practically raised on the beach I make it to Dom in no time at all.
He looks as handsome as ever. The white tank top hanging loosely from his toned and firm body gives me a much appreciated view of those killer arms and the intricate designs on his skin. His swim shorts hug his huge muscled thighs in just the right way and the big thigh tattoo he has makes my mouth almost water. I hear a chuckle that tears my gaze away from that body that should be illegal. I mean how does someone look that good?
I look up at his face and see his caramel eyes dancing with a mischievous glint. I already know something cocky is going to come out of his mouth when he asks "Like what you see Princess?"
I snort and punch him lightly in the arm and he takes a dramatic step back and feigns offense as if I just kicked his puppy. I roll my eyes but can't help the large smile that's plastered on my face.
