~Y/N's POV~
I have been at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for about three years now. I was sorted into Gryffindor, alongside a friend I made named Angelina Johnson. We both have a lot in common, both love Quidditch and play on the Gryffindor team. I'm Seeker and shes a Chaser. Sadly, on the Quidditch team, we have the Weasley twins, who always make fun of me and my Seeker ability, always play nasty pranks on me and seem to hate my guts. This rivalry between us has been going on for quite some time now; ever since they humiliated me on our first day at school in Transfiguration class. They had put a massive bucket of slime above the door, and me, being the first one through the door, was the one to get it all on my new robes. I remembered everyone laughing at me as they tried to squeeze past me in hopes of not getting any slime on them. Even professor McGonagall had had a small smirk tugging at her lips.
Now I have to deal with the twins always playing pranks on me, embarrassing me in front of the teachers and in the common room. Luckily, I had all day to wait for that. Currently, I stood outside Kings Cross Station, my brother at my side with our trunks on a trolley. I held my cat, Nova, tight in my arms, not wanting her to jump out of my grip and run away. Looking up at my brother, I smiled as we began to find our way to Platform 9¾. He was my older brother, born a couple of months before me. This was because I was adopted when I was only two months old, and he was eight months. Our mother was meant to be having twins, a boy, and a girl, but during birth, the girl died almost immediately. I always felt I was just a replacement for their lost child, but mum says otherwise. She's always telling me how much I mean to her, and how she wanted a little baby girl in her life; that's why they adopted me because after having Cedric she wasn't able to have any other children. Cedric says the same thing, always telling me how much I mean to him and why he loves me as a sister.
Before I knew it, we were on Platform 9¾, many witches and wizards of all ages smiling, crying, laughing and saying goodbye to their families. The big train could be seen, puffing smoke everywhere as the first years got onto it after crying to their parents, or just looking extremely nervous about it all.
"Hey, Y/N, I'll go put our stuff away, you go and find Angelina. Also, I'm gonna take Nova, try and keep Henry and his stupid toad away. I'll see you at the feast." He smiled, giving me a small hug as he took Nova from my grip, before turning and walking the opposite way.
Dusting the fluff off my clothes, something knocked me in the back. Turning around, I came face to face with the two people I dreaded most. Fred and George Weasley. Their fiery red hair could be seen from a mile away.
"Hello there youngling. We didn't see you there." Fred smiled, looking down at me.
They were quite tall for their age, even though I was 5'5, they still seemed to be very tall. I could always tell them apart, ever since the first day of school. They aren't that hard to tell apart, Fred has a softer face whereas George had a very stern face, not to mention Fred was a little taller.
"So, how's the weather down there?" George laughed, nudging his brother in the ribs. The two of them set off in a fit of laughter, waving at me.
Rolling my eyes at them, I turned to go and find Angelina, noticing that I only had five minutes left. I sighed before retreating to the train, instantly trying to find a compartment that was free. It took about ten minutes to find an empty one, so I took a seat, closing the door and looking out at the waving families as the train set off. Looking down at my fingers, I began to swirl them around, becoming extremely bored without my best friend beside me. The compartment door opened, making me snap from my thoughts. Two boys stood there, smiling weakly at me as they sat down. One of the boys was tall with fiery red hair, looking much like Fred and George. The other boy, however, was quite small and skinny, glasses on his head and a very bad haircut. Maybe it was just the way he lived? With a mop of hair?
