" I stare at my reflection in the mirror, why am I doing this to myself ?" Jessie J's voice blasted through my alarm clock. I woke up and drug myself into the bathroom. I looked into the mirror at myself in disgust . No wonder I get treated the way I do.
"Kai ?" I heard my mom yell from downstairs. I groaned and walked downstairs. I reached the end of the staircase and the smell of cocaine hit my nose. "Greeeeat", I mumbled to myself. I walked into the kitchen where my mom was sitting at the table. "I need you to go to the store for me", she said. " For what?" "We need some food girl", she partial yelled. I waited for her to hand me some money but after about 3 minutes I realized I wasn't getting any. I groaned and walked outside. I started on my journey to the store. After about 10 minutes , I reached the store. I walked in and went to where the sandwiches were located. I grabbed four. Knowing my mom, she was only gonna eat one. I only had 5$ , so I gathered the sandwiches and went to the register to pay. As I approached the register I seen a man , who had to be about 40 looking at me. I mean he was eyeing me down like I i was the only one in the store. I smiled faintly and got in line. When it was my turn to pay, the sandwiches cost $5.36. I was about to put a sandwich back when the man I mentioned earlier paid for it. I thanked him and walked out. I started walking down the street when a car pulled up beside me. It was the man. "Can I give a ride?" He asked. "No thank you", and with that he smiled faintly and proceeded to drive. I finally reached home. My mom was sleep so I put her sandwiches in the microwave and went up to my room.
