Faint rustling sounds could be heard.

In a room where the outside daylight was blocked from entering, a lone figure laid across a plush bed. The bed was draped with sheer curtains, barely hiding the half-naked body that rested.

knock knock

The figure's ears perked up at the sound, waking slowly from it's slumber. Rising into a sitting position, it turned it's head towards the door of it's room.

"Come in." As soon as the sentence finished, the door opened.

In came two guards, both of them holding an arm of the person between them. The person looked lifeless, even more so when the guards began to drag him towards the bed.

"My Lord, we've brought him," said one of the guards.

They threw the man forward, causing him to grunt as he collided with the marble floor. He laid there at the Lord's feet, not even daring to breathe.

"Speak. Which one of them sent a rat like you?" A small ray of sunlight came in, highlighting the icy eye color the Lord held.

The man shivered immediately.

Truly, this person which was a vessel of the God Kronos, wasn't one to be angered. The man who knew this was definitely stupid enough to mess with this God's game.

"No one, my Lordship, no one sent me. My actions were caused by my own intentions." This man was stupid, but not stupid enough to speak of the God that sent him.

The Lord continued to stare the man down, the level of intimidation rising higher by the second.

The man began to sweat profusely, though he restrained from wiping it off. He felt that if he moved, the God before him would strike him down instantly.

"Do you really," began the Lord, crossing one leg over another in a leisurely manner, "not want to tell me which God messed with my game?"

Trembling, the man hesitated. Then, he slowly nodded.

"My Lord—"

The words died on his tongue. His head, no longer connected to his body, flew across the room. It made a blood chilling sound of flesh being splattered across the wall before the room became quiet once more.

The Lord held a short sword in his left hand, flicking it once to get rid of the blood on it. The guards that stood behind the man hid their shock.

Since when did their Lord carry a short sword with him?

They were quick to restrain their thoughts as their Lord suddenly straightened up. The Lord raised his head and nodded towards a guard.

"Pick him up and take him away. Get someone to clean this room. If you find anymore rats, don't bother me. Get someone else." The Lord stood up and walked towards the doorway.

Moving forward to collect the body, the guards gave a bow towards their Lord.

"Of course, my Lord."

As the vessel of Kronos stepped out, he staggered a bit. Leaning against the wall, he held his hands against his face as a form of concentration. After a few minutes, his hands rubbed his face and ran through his hair. His long, black hair flowed smoothly as it was ruffled. He fixated his eyes on the ground, the icy color gone. When it faded to a deep black, the man blinked repeatedly before properly conducting himself, ignoring his lack of clothes, and continuing on his way.
