My eyes slowly opened. However, I saw nothing but darkness. It was very soft, as well. Like a cloud, or a kitten. A cute, fluffy, precious kitten; which was exactly what it was. I guess Shadow had perched himself on my face while I was sleeping, and now I can't see. I gently picked up Shadow and placed him on my lap. He looked up at me and chirped, earning a giggle and an "aww" from me.

I put him on my bed and got changed into a normal outfit. I brushed my very long hair and brushed my teeth. I was about to walk out of my hotel room when I heard a knock at it. I walked over and opened it, and was met by a big hug from none-other than Lexi. "Hey!!~" She she greeted, a huge smile on her face, as always. "Hey," I responded, casually. Lexi was holding a small gift bag. It was pink and had balloons all over it. Not something you'd see in Hell everyday.

Lexi noticed I was looking at it and giggled. "This isn't for you, silly," She teased. "It's for Shadow!" She ran over to the cat and kissed him on his head. Shadow started purring and headbutted her. She opened up the bag and another kitten came out. It seemed nervous. It was also black, but had a small white dot on its chest, and a huge white patch on its belly.

"This is Raven!" Lexi exclaimed. Shadow cautiously walked over to Raven, and, almost immediately, started grooming her, which Raven happily agreed to. Lexi's smile grew wider--if it was even possible at this point. I looked at her. "Why'd you get me another cat?" I asked. Lexi turned to me. "Well, technically, it's my cat. My brother gave it to me. I want Shadow to have a friend while we're gone," She explained.

"Why'd your brother gift you a cat?" I asked.

"I'd always expressed how I wanted a cat for my birthday, and he just happened to find one on my birthday!"

"Today's your birthday?" I asked, once more. She nodded, excitedly. "Well, happy birthday then, I guess," I responded. "How old are you now?" She looked down, thinking. "Well, we don't really age in Hell, so I'm technically 22. If I was still alive, however, I'd be 69." I nodded, grinning. "Nice," We both had a good laugh at her Earth age. 

Lexi took two cans of tuna fish out of her purse, and opened them both with her tail, which looked really sharp. I assumed that was how she got all of that expensive stuff in her room without thieves taking it; she literally had a giant, wiggly spear attached to her body. Anyway, she put one can of tuna down for the cats, and stood up. "What are you doing with that other can..?" I asked, though I already had an idea what she was doing. "We're gonna give Husk his breakfast~" She cooed in responce. I rolled my eyes. Knew it.

We walked to the main lobby, where Husk was sleeping on the job--again. Lexi walked behind the front desk with him, and started petting him. Husk started to purr after a few moments. We both giggled quietly, as to not wake him up. She placed the tuna in front of him, and he immediately started to smell it. He started to eat the tuna, still asleep, and continously purring. Lexi wasn't lying when she said he can act like an actual cat. 

While we were doing this, Alastor saw us messing with him and walked to us. "Ah, I knew he wasn't as big and tough as he said he was!" Alastor said, laughing. We all started laughing at him a bit louder. Our laughs got louder and louder, until Husk's right ear twitched back, and the purring came to a stop. We all quickly got quiet, knowing we'd woken him up. Husk slowly opened his eyes, and, apon seeing the sight before him, his eyes got big. He quickly jolted his head up, his fur raised.

"What the fuck?!" He asked rather loudly. Vaggie and Charlie walked over. "What is with the yelling?" Vaggie asked, sounding annoyed. "All we were doing was giving Husk his breakfast," Lexi answered between giggles. Husk looks at the succubus. "What the..." He looked down at the can of almost-eaten tuna. His ears drooped in embarrassment. Vaggie giggled while Charlie burst into a fit of laughter. Husk does a "fuck it" move and continues to eat the tuna, causing us all to join Charlie in our loud laughter.
