The Myth In: The Voyage Through Weirdness

chapter one : friend or foe ?

The boy's name is Xerneas Yokoshi Century, he lives with his jerk older brother Jo and his sick grandma, Irene Century, since his parents went missing years ago. Xerneas is often bullied by his friends, random people and his brother, because of his height, his love for music and adventure, and that he's a Neko. Nekos are made fun of in general, if I'm being totally honest. Back to Xerneas, he loves studying the Ancient powers and the geography and history of Zirona, he finds it so interesting that he can't contain himself in conversation. For example:

"Hey, Xerneas, Did you feel that earthquake last night?"

"Yeah I did, since earthquakes don't always happen in Zirona, that means that a Blood Rune or a Light Rune is nearby, probably being destroyed or irritated or maybe even being used. But in other versions-"

"I'm so done with you."

He's a nerd that loves music and that's a Neko, in a quite- toxic society. He isn't really getting far. Another thing he's made fun of is that he is hardly interested in love. He's considered having a crush once, but that didn't really go well. So he doesn't want to embarrass himself again. Even if the girl was as weird as he was! But for now, he wants to avoid being such a clown at his school.

His school is his least favorite place, he stands tall, and proud, every day, but he still gets bullied and taunted. He plays guitar, but he doesn't do that in public anymore, because at school, one of the kids made fun of him and pretended to play a rock song on a acoustic guitar, and at the end, he slammed the guitar onto the concrete. Breaking it in half.

Xerneas has since then been miserable, Music was a real passion for him, and now he knows that music can't even help him fit in. If he had one wish, it would be to fit in. Like everyone else. But eventually, he would fit in, into a group of more weirdos, and it all started with a habit and an urge to collect Crystals off a lake.

Let's hear this story.

Xerneas has a habit of sneaking out of his house and going to his treehouse late at night, when everyone is asleep. He checks if the coast is clear, and he goes with his adventure backpack, filled with water, refried beans, bandages, disinfectant, a watch, a journal, his second wallet with hardly any money (maybe like $36.78 actually.), stick deodorant (because even when you're on an adventure, you have to smell fresh.), his older flip phone and of course his ukulele. He writes and sings songs to himself and his grandma. He also has a sword made of steel, and a wooden shield he takes. You never know when you have to fight something or someone off to get somewhere.

That being said, how did he meet these weirdos? Let's start from the beginning of the day. Xerneas was actually under probation from going to the woods at night by Jo. I guess he really does care. But anyway, Xerneas was going to sneak out again tonight, so he wanted to head over right after breakfast to leave his sword and shield there. They are way too heavy to carry around at night. He ate really fast and messy, he got the syrup from his waffles all over his face.

"Bro, you look like a muddy pig. Clean yourself up boy!" Jo ordered.

He got a napkin, and wiped off the syrup. He soon finished his Waffles and milk, and went to his room to set up. Jo followed, worried.

"Hey... where are you going?" Jo asked.

"Nowhere. Why?" Xerneas replied.

"Look, you can go to the forest again tonight, just make sure you're back by 4:00 in the morning sharp." Jo said.

"Wait, you're actually letting me go?" The confused Neko asked.

"Yes, I know I haven't been the nicest brother, so I wanted to make it up. You're smart so, don't get into trouble, or die. Anything but that- got it dork?" Jo said.
