"Don't tell her shit, she probably had something to do with this." Skylar said cutting me off.

"Girl why would I do that. I love Tee and you know that."

"What I DO know is that you tried to set him up before."

"That was a one time thing."

"Girl FUCK you I'll really beat yo ass in here public place or not."

"Come on Lil bit." I said grabbing her and taking her to sit down.

"I wanna go sit in your car."

We got up and started walking to my car. Halfway there she got closer and hugged me, I tried to walk with her but she stopped me and just held me.

"I'm sorry." She said letting go and that's when I noticed that she was crying.

"You don't have to apologize. I understand."

She walked to the car and I unlocked the door she got in then I got in on the other side. When I got in she was looking out in the sky.

"I miss her." She said just above a whisper.

"Who?" I asked looking at her. She grabbed her necklace and looked at me.

"My mom." She said then put her head down.

"Stop putting your head down." She picked her head up. "Now what happened? If you don't mind me asking."

".... When I was seven I was out on the porch and she was in the street talking to some drug dealer. I mean I know I was young but I wasn't dumb. Anyway, she was taking to him and next thing I know he pulled out his gun and shot her 7 times.... I was scared, sad and hurt all in one....

....The crazy part about it is when he did it he looked at me and said "Remember in life always pay your dues."

"Damn Sky. I didn't know that I'm sorry."

"Noting to be sorry about. And most people don't know just my old best friend from there and Tee."

"Your pops what bout him."

"Well after that they sent me here, when I turned 12 he got locked up said he killed somebody."

"If my math is right. Big dog your pops?"

"Yeah. You knew him?"

"Me and Tee work for him. But who didn't know him."

"I mean he NEVER let me know anything about his street life."

"Thinking back now. I remember you, I use to always be there and yo lil bad ass used to be there giving him HELL."

"What you mean hell. I use to be soo nice." She said looking away laughing

"Yeah Ight. You use to be like "Daddy I don't wanna be here with you I wanna be with the thugs." Then he would be like "Girl shut that shit up for I send you with them frl." He use to be pissed cause you was with it."

"I guess I got my wish." She said then looked at me and smiled.

"Yeah I guess so Sky."

"Come on let's go back in."

I got out the car and started walking in.

"Kilo you know I was gone sa-."

"Ta'Varius." I said cutting her off.

"Awww. I like it." She said smiling.

"It's Ight."

"No I love it, it fits you. I'm not gone stop calling you that now."

"When we in public don't call me that shit." I said serious as hell cause none of the guys knew my name except Tee.

"Ta'Varius."

"Yeah?"

"Nothing just like the way it sounds."

This girl here. I thought to myself.

"Sky. Sky. Lil bit."

"What?"

"They said we can go back now." I said as she got up and stretched.

"What if we go back here and he all hooked up and shit?"

"We still gone have to go back there. It's gone be scary I know but he fighter for real men."

She moved in front of me and started back walking. I knocked on the door.

"What y'all want I ain't taking no more fucking medicine that shit dead." I heard him say before we walked in.

"Aw it's just y'all, thought y'all was them doctors again they been tryna fill me up with that medicine ion like that shit." He said looking over at us.

"You a fool man." I said taking a seat. Sky sat on lap since it was the only chair in here.

"Fuck y'all got going on?" Tee asked as soon as she sat down.

"None dawg ain't no other chairs in here, you see that shit."

"You could have got up, hell she could have sat on the bed by me." He said side eyeing Sky.

"Mannn." I said as I waved him off.

"You can't talk Sky?" She looked at him then back at the floor. "Come on don't do that no talking shit Sky."

"What's the one thing I ask and tell you?"

"To always stay safe and no matter the situation to always tell you what's going on." I looked at him then at her. I was shocked Tee never tell anyone tell him anything.

"And what's the one thing you didn't do?"

"Tell you what was going on." He said sounded sad.

"I know you don't want me in your shit but you gotta tell me when you going to do shit that's probably gone make you end up in the hospital." She said as she got up. I got a look at her ass and damnnnnn.

"I'm sorry Sky, I ain't think it was gone go down like this."

"You gone tell me what happen?" She said as she sat by him.

"Not this time Sky this a biggg deal I really don't want you in this shit not this one." He said. It must have been big the nigga ain't even tell me yet.

"I respect it I guess. For now" she said and walked to the door. "Going to the vending machine." She said as she walked of the door.

"Who did this shit, and where is black jack?" I asked when I thought she was gone from the door.

"He good he went home I told him lay low, but it was Dre nem. Me and black went to go hit them niggas and they caught us. How they know where we was gone be at ion cause we wasn't even close to they shit yet. He said looking off as if he was thinking.

"How long they say you down for?"

"Bout 8 weeks. Said I can go home after tomorrow tho, just this fat ass cast on my leg, they also said it's gone be a big as scar where they had to get the bullet out at." He said turning the tv to the news.

"In other news, tonight at around 10:30 2 unknown males was shot and killed on the 69th Avenue of King's street." I looked at Tee who was already looking at me.

"That's where Dre shit at." I said looking back at the tv

"- we don't have anything else on the report at this time back to you Robi."

"What the fuck is going on in the town mannn."
