Baby Naruto 2: Again?!

"So you're saying that you're from the future and you knew me well and to get back to your future, you need me and a bunch of other future-S-Class-nin to help you?" Sasori asks.

"Yup." Naruto grins.

"Kami, my life is terrifying." Sasori mutters.

"Pwease help?" Naruto begs with his eyes.

Sasori gulps nervously. "Wh-What do I get in return?"

"Nawuto doesn't have anyfing to pay Sori wif..." Naruto tells him, a finger in his mouth to up his cuteness.

"That's enough for me." Sasori gulps as he turns away, averting his eyes from the cuteness.

Itachi has a smile on his face that made him look innocent but you just knew he was feeling smug on the inside.

"Yay!" Naruto cheers, his hands in the air doing a 'banzai'.

"Who's the easiest one to collect now?" Sasori asks.

"Deidara and Kakuzu." Itachi says. "They are in Suna right now apparently. You can help us by getting them to us."

"And if they struggle?" Sasori raises an eyebrow.

"Bring him with you then." Itachi points to Naruto.

"But don't we need his parents permission?"

"Yeah! Daddy will say yes!" Naruto giggles.

"No." Minato shuts him down.

"D-Daddy? Why?" Naruto blinks, tears pooling in his eyes.

"Naruto... I can't have you going to a country that has extremely dangerous S-rank ninjas from the bingo book. Besides, we have no reason to go other then what you just said and no, we can't go because your reason of 'just because I want to.', is not valid." Minato sighs.

Naruto blinks before crossing his arms in a pout.

"But-"

"If you can give me a good reason for you to go, then I will think about it. Before that, try not to put yourself in anymore danger. You having the forbidden forest as your playground is giving me strokes as is."

"Daddy~" Naruto groans in despair.

Minato sighs and picks the child up, settling him on his hip. "Naruto. I know you're independent and I know we haven't really been bonding lately because I've been busy with the summit, but please help me and don't go looking for trouble."

Naruto feels slightly bad. Yeah, he should really stop making his biological father get heart attacks. He could still remember how Minato found out about him playing in the forbidden forest. It was not pretty. He got a loud lecture while inside the forest.

- Flashback -

Naruto giggles as he marks the tree that he always passed to get to his little hideaway. He marks it to keep track of how many times he's been in the forest.

As he stops on his favourite tree, he felt a chill running down his spine. Naruto slowly looks up as a shadow covers him.

"Na. Ru. To." Minato had a sweet smile that leaked his angry intent.

Naruto gulps. "D-Daddy! D-Didn't see y-you there?"

Minato ignores his stutters and continues to stare angrily down at the toddler.

"N-No you see, Daddy, there w-were these sounds from this forest an-and I wanted to h-help because they were crying. I'm a gentleman, Daddy, just like you taught me-"

"Hmm."

"- I-I mean, wow! This is a neat forest! I've n-never been in here before, Daddy!"
Minato makes a point as he stares at the obvious tree marks and the little stash of goodies that Naruto hid in the tree they were standing on.

"... I'm sowwy, Daddy..." Naruto sighs.

"Naruto Namikaze! You do not go into a forest that has many different species, all bigger then you!, that could kill you. No, I know you know how dangerous this forest was! It has a sign saying how dangerous it is! I know you can read! I don't care if you heard a crying noise, even if you made that up, it could have been an animal who lures children into the forest, it does not help that you are only four years old!"

Naruto spots a creature sneaking up from behind Minato and couldn't find the right time to cut through his dad's lecture. Naruto looks at his dad before looking at the creature again and keeps looking back and forth before Minato let out an agressive aura aimed at Naruto. The creature stiffens, pales and sweats profoundly before moving back just as slowly, the leaves covering the creature back up before the creature left the area. Naruto blinks at that before looking at his father's ranting face and mentally looks at his father in awe. Even when not aimed at them, his father's aura was terrifying when mad. As a matter of fact, he should probably start listening again.

"Are you listening?! Did you think of the dangers in this forest?! Do you know worried I was?! I was so scared! I thought I had lost you." Minato sniffs and hugs the child.

Naruto felt guilty sitting heavily in his stomach. It felt like the same after Itachi heard about the time Kisame nearly killed him during the base.

Itachi had done a lot of telling, a lot of pointing out the obvious and a lot of questions before finally making him feel guilty. (We can tell the author has a lot of experience with these lectures. I wonder why.)

Naruto hugs back. "I'm sorry, Daddy..."

"I know. Just please tell me you can handle yourself. Even I can't handle myself in this forest."

Naruto blinks up incredulously at his father. Just how long ago was his father in this forest? Does he not realise the effect he has on the animals living here?

"Ah, the genin days." Minato sighs in nostalgia.

Naruto sighs in relief of having the topic shifted.

"Do not even for a second think that you are off the hook yet, young man. You are grounded."

"Aw man..." Naruto groans.

- Flashback end -

Naruto giggles at that before noticing his father's unimpressed stare.

"Yes, Daddy. I won't go looking for trouble. Promise."

"You better promise, Naruto. I just get very worried sometimes. Maybe after the summit, I can take you to Suna." Minato snuggles the child closer.

"Really?! Yay! You're the best, Daddy! Can we bring Kaku-jii?! He's going to have the bestest of fun! I can take him to all around Suna and he can bring me to the top of a sand dune! Oh and-" Naruto babbles.

Minato chuckles.

Shikaku didn't know why but he felt a sudden shiver going through his body before he sneezed. "Oh no. Minato's going to ask me something stupid that I'm probably going to agree to anyways."

"You could tell that from a sneeze?" Inoichi sweatdrops.

"My sneezes for Minato are special."

Inoichi gives him a weird look.

"Just you wait. You'll be able to tell soon too."

"No thanks."
