It was a sunny day in Phoenix, Arizona. I was rushing to place my luggage in the back of the car. My mom had remarried and her new husband was a baseball player that travelled around the world, but I want to stay put. I'll be flying to Forks, Washington with my twin sister Isabella or Bella for short. I, of course, being Bella's twin sister have dyed my hair blonde. I don't want to be under my sister's shadow forever, but the hair dye has been coming out. My hair is now almost my natural color, but with just a little blonde in it. It seems like I have blonde highlights in my hair.
"Crystal, Bella start getting in the car!" I heard my mom call. Bella grabbed myy arm and dragged me into the car. Oh, I hate it when she does that. Anyway, she may be my twin, but she is a year older than me, in a way. She's just an hour older than me. Bella's birthday id December 31st, 11:59 pm, while my birthday is January 1st, 12:59 am. My age now is 16, and Bella is 17.
Forks, Washington is where my birth father lives, and I haven't visited him for 4 years. Now was the only excuse I would have to go and stay in one place without moving around the States. We were in the airport before we knew it, but of course we only lived about thirty minutes from the airport. Getting to the gate we needed to go to board the plane was easier than ever, but the agonizing wait to actually get on the plane was terrible. There were so many people, so much noise, and way too much to think about. There were thirty more minutes until we were suppose to start boarding the plane. I was just sitting calmly and quietly.
The plane was here on time, and Bella and I climbed on fast so that we could get to our seats, and hope the plane lifted off the grounds fast. I heard the engine turn on, but then I just decided to doze off. It was a quiet plane ride, and I didn't exactly know how long it had been since we lifted off, but it was just two minutes until it was time to land. I sat quietly, and waited until the announcer said we were allowed to take off our seat belts.
I wasn't excited, and I could tell that Bella wasn't either. Dad was never the kind of person to have fun, but he didn't always look over your shoulder to see what you are doing. Anyway, Bella and I grabbed our luaggage from the baggage claim, and got into a taxi. I told him to drive us to my dad's house, and I gave him the money in advance. Bella and I just sat there in a turmoil, and we had the heat on in the back. It was almost winter, and I wasn't going to get sick in my first few days at Forks.
The car stopped at a very familiar house, and I got out to start putting my baggage away in my old room. Bella, the same, and we struggled into the house where we found our father making the beds in purple bed sheets for Bella and pink bed sheets for me. I had a specific drawer in the bathroom which was to be shared. I wasn't looking forward to it, but it was called home. I had to go to school today, and it was already 3 months into the school year. I put all my belongings away in the drawers, and walked out of the house to find a dusty old car in the driveway.
My dad was talking to a man that I recognized. Bella and I approched the car, and my father introduced us to the people he was talking to. "Hi, my name is Jacob," the young boy with long hair said. I looked at him, and replied "Crystal, nice to meet you again." I looked at Bella, but she just said "Bella, hi."
"Do like your car?" dad asked Bella, and I wasn't jealous or anything.
"I like it, it's better than nothing," Bella replied.
"Let's go, we'll be late for school," I said.
"You have to crank the knob twice to get it to start," Jacob said.
Bella and I got into the car, and started it without a problem. "Hey you coming?" Bella asked. Jacob explained that he was going to a different school. "Oh sorry to hear that, but we would love to have someone that we knew at school," I said. He laughed, and then we were off to school. I love his laugh, but still, I'll wait for a while. Bella and I arrived to school early, and had a boy from my grade named Eric Yorkie welcome us, and give us a tour of the school.
It was time for lunch and I didn't realize that it was that late. I walked into the lunch line, and waited to see what the food was. I wasn't much of a meat eater, so when I saw the burgers, I just allowed myself to go back and sit next to Bella who sat there without food as well. I panned the entire lunch room. I was sitting in a table filled with people that I didn't know, and I wanted to just sit back, and go to a different table, but the last table was getting filled in. The people were so pale, and Jessica a girl that was sitting my table was watching me.
"Yeah, those are the Cullens. They are suppose to be brother and sister, but they weren't blood related. Carlise adopted them, and made them part of his family," she said. I stared blankly at a young man that was pale, and looked single. I wasn't going to choose my boyfriends this fast. It's only my first day at school, and I hope I don't have to sit next to him in Biology. Which is the next class I have.
A/N:
Dear readers,
I wanted to post a book, and I know that this not in my personal book. All rights belong to Catherine Hardwicke the director, Melissa Rosenburg the one in charge of the screenplay, and Stephenie Meyer the writer. There is only my character which is Crystal Swan twin sister to Bella Swan.
I hope you enjoyed the chapter, and please vote, comment/review, and fan me! I will always follow you back, and I'm glad to finally have something posted. Right can you tell me what will happen next? Will Crystal meet the Cullens? Will her love for someone be turned upside down?
Sincerely,
serenacullen_black
