Beauty and the Geek (a Danisnotonfire fan fiction)

Chapter 1

Haley's POV

When I woke up I looked out my window and to my surprise it wasn't raining, I have to say I was kind of excited as I was meeting a friend for lunch at 12:30 so i looked at my clock 11:30. Shit. I take a quick shower then choose my outfit I decide to wear a floral open back dress and some white wedges then put on some natural looking makeup. By the time I finish dressing myself it is only 11:50 so i decide to eat something I think  i'll go with toast with some nutella, I finish my breakfast and wash my plate then grab my bag and yell goodbye to my flatmate Alli and head out the door. I walk down our front steps and wait at the crossroads in front of our small flat for the man to turn green indicating I can walk across, just then a tall boy in a llama hat rushes past me in a hurry another bot in a lion hat  shouts for him to slow down, but he dosen't hear. The boy in the llama hat is oblivious to the car that is speeding towards him so I do something I know I will regret, I sprint into the road and push the boy out of the way and get hit myself all I can feel is pain and then everything goes black.

Dan's POV

I woke up around 9:00 this morning and Phil wasn't awake yet so I grab my mac and phone and head into the lounge I assumed my internet position and browsed tumblr and twitter for a while and then I heard Phil say good morning and i was snapped back into reality "good morning Phil" I say tiredly. I look at the clock and realize that it is almost noon. "Phil, you wanna go get Starbucks" i ask "sure Dan, just let me get dressed first " he replies i guess i should do the same seeing as I am still in my pajamas. I put on the usual black skinny jeans and t-shirt and fix my "Hobbit" hair and then grab my llama hat and Phil his lion hat we grab our wallets and keys then leave . We came to the crossroads near our flat and since i am impatient  i look around and see no cars and dash into the road and when I am in the middle I feel myself being pushed to the side then I hear a small cry then turn to see the most beautiful girl I've ever seen laying in the road unconscious. "PHIL" I scream, he runs over already on the phone with the paramedics. They arrive in minutes and wheel away the beautiful mystery girl asking if we want to ride in the ambulance with her, me and Phil nod silently, shocked at what had happened just minutes ago. When we get to A&E we find out the mystery girl's identity and  that her name is Haley Rae Lane and she is 20 like me a Beautiful name for a beautiful girl. Stop thinking like that Dan you don't even know this girl I tell myself, I know i'm right but I can't help myself I have never felt like this before about anything or anyone.

Haley's POV

I woke up to bright lights and an overwhelming smell of hand sanitizer and instantly I knew where I was...A&E. I looked around and saw the boy in the llama hat sitting on one side of me and the boy in the lion hat sitting on the other. "What happened ?" i asked the boy in the llama hat answered shyly "Well I wasn't looking where I was going and ran out in the road and you pushed me out of the way and got hit yourself" "Well now I know but I have to ask you guys one question, what are your names?" the boy in the lion hat answered first " My name is Phil, nice to meet you" he said holding out his hand , I went to shake it but I felt a jolt of pain in my arm I let out a small cry and noticing this Phil started apologizing but i cut him off saying i was fine and that there was no need to apologize. the boy in the llama hat was next to introduce himself "Hello, i'm Dan" he says awkwardly and rubbing his neck. "Ok ,so now that we have all been introduced what do we do know?" Phil asked " I know' said Dan eagerly "How about we film a video?" "What" I ask confused "Oh we forgot to tell you about our jobs"they say "Ok then what do you two do for a living" "We both do YouTube videos and have our on show on BBC Radio1" Dan says "That's so cool, I think I have a better idea seeing as i must look like death, how about we watch some of your guys' videos ?" "First of all you absolutely do not look like death I happen to think you look beautiful, and second of all i think that is a great idea" says Dan.

Dan's POV

"Hello, i'm Dan"  I say awkwardly and rubbing my neck. "Ok ,so now that we have all been introduced what do we do know?" Phil asked " I know' I said eagerly "How about we film a video?" "What" Haley ask confused "Oh we forgot to tell you about our jobs" We say "Ok then what do you two do for a living" "We both do YouTube videos and have our on show on BBC Radio1" I say "That's so cool, I think I have a better idea seeing as i must look like death, how about we watch some of your guys' videos ?" Haley says "First of all you absolutely do not look like death I happen to think you look beautiful her silver eyes where staring at me making my heart melt, her dark hair falling on her shoulders beautifully, and her pale skin blushing as i let the word Beautiful slip out of my mouth. why do crushes hurt so much i think to myself , and second of all i think that is a great idea" I say. Just then the doctor knocked on the door "Haley Rae, correct ,nice to meet you I am doctor Blake" the woman says going to shake Haley's hand here we go again i think to myself Haley picks up her arm wincing in pain but still managing to shake the doctors hand. I chuckle to myself amazed the doctor didn't notice Haley was in that much pain. Eventually the doctor asks her if she is in any pain and she explains her arm situation and the doctor starts to apologize then goes on to examine it " I think we should get some x-rays done on this arm , and lets just get your whole body x-rayed just in case ok Hun " she says to Haley who is obviously not listening. I snap my thumb to get her attention "yeah " she says snapping back into reality " We need to take some x-rays ok Hun" the doctor repeats with a slightly annoyed tone " I'll come back when you are well rested k Hun" the doctor said then she just got up and left . RUDE!! After the doctor left we decided to abort the idea of watching any videos today as we where all tired Haley told us we could go home but being the genuinely nice people we told her that there was no way either of us where leaving until she got released, and with that i watched her slowly drift to sleep with me not long after.
