" IF I CAN'T ENJOY WHAT I DO, WHAT'S THE POINT ? "
" THERE IS NO POINT. "

" one, two, three, four. one two, three, four. one, two. one, two. one, two, three, four. "
the teens moved along to the rhythm of the music, eyes trailing their teacher as he moved around. he was watching everyone to make sure that they were performing correctly without any awful mistakes that would throw off everyone else. he stared with wide eyes at evan and aly. those two weren't just any normal pair of kids dancing - they were a power duo that shouldn't be messed with. they recreated the moves so accurately that the dance teachers that worked with them were all too surprised to continue their jobs.
the rest of the dancers stopped and formed a circle around evan and aly, recording them as they waltzed around the cold wood floor. the music was turned up louder and the hype went up with it as well.
they danced, eyes closed, faces red and hearts pumping. aly backed away, taking deep breaths as someone helped her sit down and handed her a bottle of water. now, evan was still going, sweat beading his face as he began to entered the last parts of the choreography. being the show taker he is, evan began to sing along and move at the same time.
" is it too late to turn around? i'm already halfway out of town. now i know how i let you down, oh, i finally figured it out... i forgot to love you, love you, love you, i forgot to love you, love you, love you. if i came back now would you still be there? if i come around would you even care? if i came back now would you still be there? if i come around would you even care? i forgot to love you, love you, love you, i forgot to love you, love you, love you... "
there was a pause, and evan plopped onto the ground and faced the white ceiling, the lights shining brightly down at him. it highlighted the sweat that ran down his face, not his best feature at the moment. suddenly, aly cheered from behind and jumped up. the male was shocked at the sudden loud noise and sat up quickly, groaning after. his hair bounced slightly and the sweat plastered it to his head, a few strands covering his green hues. " holy crap . . . " he mumbled, finally aware of the fact that he was the only one who was dancing near the end.
" you should totally create the routines, bro! and maybe some dances for your music, too! " aly pushed through the crowd and hauled him up, giving him a high-five after. " honestly, you dance as good as me. and you've only had, what, three months of practice? and i've had six years? "
evan flushed a bright red, as he looked down at the floor and back up at her. he lightly shook his head quickly to get the hair away from his eyes, and rubbed his hand behind his neck. " man, why you gotta say stuff like that? i'm not that good, and you'll always be superior! you're legit the dance queen in this entire town. that's how good you are. besides, i did a few routines good, not all of them. this doesn't make me awesome. "
aly sighed, patting his back. " one day you'll get the fame you deserve. "
evan chuckled, " one day. "
" alright, we'll go out for pizza and icecream now, everyone! " said their dance teacher. everyone cheered and they rushed out the door, pushing each other like children. evan was glad that alec didn't hold a large grudge when he asked to join aly's dance classes. it made it so much easier to afford.
they glanced at each other and giggled at how sweaty and stupid they looked, running to catch up to the too-ahead group. they'd all be stupid. always. but even if they were stupid, they were friends, and true friends are stupid together. ( what- )

" THEN I'LL DO WHAT I ENJOY. TOGETHER. HAPPY. "
