12:00am
I never thought it would end like this, you know? We found out last night that an asteroid is heading right for the earth, which will wipe out pretty much all of the world's population. They are doing everything they can to stop it, but I really doubt it. The news announced that there is a 30% chance that it could be stopped.
I was really hoping that I'd at least make it to 18. Being sixteen sucks. The school, the stress, the boys. I'm basically the definition of awkward, and I'm not the most popular girl there is. Actually, I have one friend, Quinn.
My iPhone screen lights up and a picture of Quinn and I flashes.
"Hey, what's up?" I said into the speaker.
"Rose, please help me. For some reason the family decided that we'd spend the last hours in my house, not that I'm unhappy to see them, but my house is about to explode, there's so many people here. Ugh." She said in an annoyed tone.
Quinn and I are so close. We have been since we were little, basically picking each other on the playground. People would always mistake us for sisters because we looked a lot alike, both of us had brown hair and brown eyes, but I'm slightly taller than her.
"It's okay, Quinn. Just relax. Go visit for a bit, this is the last time you're going to see them."
"Yea, yea. Okay I'm going to go see them, I think my aunt just got here. Call me later." She said and hung up.
