As she was laying in her bed asleep she began to here an alarm sounding off on her phone. It sounded soft at first but it gradually grew louder as it was programmed to do. She hated the alarms that startled with loud noises out of nowhere because it made her heart jump. After silencing the alarm she slowly woke up and began to collect herself. It was a Saturday and the time was 9:30 am. There was quite of bit of work that needed to get done that day. Natasha rubbed her eyes to help them focus better as she got out of bed that morning. She took a look at herself as though to make sure that all of her was physically there and stroked her hair as though to remind herself that she she still had it. Natasha was a very dark chocolate woman with noticeable lips. She had dark black hair and her black eyes were surrounded by dark skin. She also had very well rounded hips and a slender physique. Once she was fully conscience she did what she normally does pretty much every morning and headed for the kitchen to eat some breakfast first. You were probably thinking she brushes her teeth first but she didn't like the way food and drink tastes on her tongue after brushing her teeth a few minutes prior and it didn't make sense to her to brush her teeth only to dirty her mouth with food immediately after the fact. This morning, she decided to cook eggs and toast for breakfast. She really liked cheese on her eggs too and she knew how to season them with just the right amount of salt and pepper. Once she'd finished breakfast she decided to sit for a little while and give her food time to digest. As she sat at the table her mind began to drift. She began to think about her life up to this point and wonder how she'd gotten to this point. She had one daughter all grown up and moved out and she had a loving sister who was married herself. Natasha began to wonder what her life would've been like if she'd married a good man also. What if she'd had multiple children? She loved her daughter and they had a good relationship but Natasha wondered if she herself was truly happy with her own life. She'd had to struggle much but the good Lord had always brought her through all the pain and trials she'd been through. Yet, it felt like something was missing. She felt a longing for something more. She'd been working a job, eating, and sleeping as a routine for so long that it seemed she'd be doing that for the rest of her life without anything ever really changing. As she came back to her senses and ended her daydreaming she decided to get up and perform her hygienic routine of taking a nice hot shower for at least half an hour. The warm water was always soothing to her and even as a young child she enjoyed the pleasure of bathing unlike many other kids her age. Once she'd taken her shower and brushed her teeth she laid back down in her bed intending to be there for only 10 minutes to cool off. While she was laying down on her bed though, her cell phone began to ring. "I think I already know who it is." She remarked referring to one of her best friends Tomiko. Tomiko wasn't as dark as Natasha but she was no less beautiful. She was slightly taller though and had a longer neck. Curiously, she also tended to where her hair either short or long but seemingly never in between. Depending on the setting and situation, she sometimes wore glasses. She had a slender frame like Natasha as well and long legs too. Tomiko's lips weren't as plump as Natasha's were but they were more even and smoother. Tomiko had long legs and even though she wore long dresses she had a way of walking like a super model. She wasn't a lady of the night or anything of that sort but if the truth be told, her hips just didn't lie. Unlike Natasha though, her eyes were NOT surrounded by dark skin. Natasha picked up the phone and saw that it was of course, Tomiko. She answered the phone with a kind "hello" and Tomiko responded by saying "Hey Natasha what are you up to today?". She responded "Nothing much girl. I'm gonna clean up my house and then go out for a walk". Tomiko responded "Oh that sounds good, I'm going out for walk today too but it's gonna be at the mall cause I'm going shopping!" They both laughed at the joke and Natasha then responded saying "Yeah that's the best type of walking to do Ain't it?" "Yes! That's my therapy. I'm gonna get me some nice dresses for Resurrection Sunday. I gotta make sure that they fit right though. I would normally order online, but that hasn't been working out for me lately" Tomiko responded. After another 50 minutes of talking and chatting the two ladies finally ended their conversation and when Natasha looked at the time it was noon. At this point Natasha faced a bit of a dilemma since she preferred starting her walks at noon or no later than one o clock. If she tried to clean her house now it would take more than hour. So after touring her house and looking at the condition she determined that it really wasn't as dirty as she thought. As such, she decided to get dressed into something more formal. She decided to wear a striped red and black dress that came down about 3 inches past the knees. She also wore dark black stockings and white tennis shoes and took a jacket as well. Even though it wasn't cold outside she liked to take a light jacket anyway to keep bugs from landing on her arms and and back neck but she wore a white short sleeve shirt under the jacket. Since the park and tree area wasn't far from where she lived she decided to walk there and enjoy the spring weather. There was a light breeze outside and the sun was out but it wasn't to cold or too hot. Once she reached the park and tree area she began to slow her pace some and just observe the tranquility of the area. She listened to the singing of the ravens and saw the evergreens healthy as ever. Then her mind drifted once again and she began to think about her life as she did earlier that day when she was sitting at the table. She felt so ordinary and unexceptional. While it's true she wasn't in dire straits she simply couldn't shake the feeling that she was living below where she should've been. She wanted more out of life than just the usual 9-5 paycheck to paycheck mindset that she had most of her adult life. There were so many opportunities she'd failed to take and so many decisions she'd regretted she'd made. If only she'd known then what she knew now her life would be so much better. Instead she seemed stuck in a cycle of just getting by and getting along but never anything more. "How much farther in life would I be if I'd just made one better decision in life?" she thought to herself. "How much of a better life would my daughter have had if I'd just taken that once in a lifetime offer that I didn't?" Her sadness increased the more she began to think about her life story but before she knew it she was well into tree area far away from the artificial dirt trails made for people to follow. She was now surrounded by trees in an unfamiliar place she'd never been before. As she began to look around though she saw something in the distance. It was smoke in the distance but it didn't seem like the smoke of a fire. As she walked closer and closer to the source of the smoke to see what was going on she noticed a building in the distance and saw that the smoke was coming from the chimney of the building. Then she saw a fence where the tree line stopped and beyond it was about 28 feet of open space between the building and the fence from all sides as far as she could tell. After reaching the fence which was about 8 feet tall she looked with curiosity as to what all of this was and why a building like this was even here. She then heard a voice that said "Hey what are you doing here?". She turned around and saw a young man dressed in a black and brown security uniform and and before she could even answer he told her to come with him.
