Birthday ~ chapter 1

"Simon, baby wake up" I felt somebody shaking me gently and pair of eyes starring at me. I slowly began to open my eyes, only to be met with both of my parents that had the biggest smile on their faces.

"Happy birthday hun!" Mom said, I smiled tiredly and mumbled a little 'thanks' before sitting up. "It's your 18th birthday Simon! The most beautiful day of your life!" Dad continued for mom. My mom was fully excited! I guess this is a big thing for parents, plus myself. The day I find out what my soulmate's first sentence is!

I looked at them excitedly and pulled my sleeve slowly down. "Wow, your eyes look beautiful in the moonlight" I read it out and looked at mom and dad to see their face turn into a grin. "That's beautiful!" Mom giggled, making both me and my dad chuckle.

"What did the stinker get then!" Nick walked into the room, making me roll my eyes at him. "He got the beautifulest thing ever Nick! Come and read it" Nick walked over to me, grabbing my wrist to look at it. "Wow, your eyes look beautiful in the moonlight" he wheezes, getting a playfully punch on the shoulder from my dad.

"What?! It's so funny! Who would ever say that to you" he laughs in my face, making me frown "Shut up! Mines perfect and beautiful!" I smirked satisfied with what I've gotten, getting a roll in the eyes of Nick. "Man whatever! I'm sure it's not that Italian girlfriend of yours!" He says, clearly mocking her.

"She's actually half-English and half-Italian! And at least I didn't get my best friends ex!" I smirked and pushed him away. "Take that back!" He yelled as he pushed back.

"Guys cut it off, Jesus Christ!" Dad yelled at us both and dragged Nick out so he wouldn't cause any more drama. What a perfect opportunity to call Tobi, I thought of surprising Talia at school!" I smiled at the thought and picked my phone up. Placing it down somewhere, pressing on the FaceTime bottom and on Tobi's name.

It ringed for some seconds till Tobi picked up. "Hey, dude! Happy birthday!" I looked at him and smiled. "Thanks!" I replied and went through my clothes to find something to wear for today.

"What does it say on your wrist!?" I heard him from the other line excitedly. "Wow, your eyes are beautiful in the moonlight" I changed off camera, only to see that I have turned fully red in the mirror!

Tobi awed, and I just chuckle at his reaction. "It's so cute!" Tobi said and started thinking. "Who do you want it to be?!" I got in front of the camera, running a hand through my hair.

"Talia of course! We have been together for years! We are like the none-separated couple Tobi!" I said, getting butterflies in my stomach. She's amazing!

"What if it's not her?" Tobi bites his lips, making me frown at the sentence. "It has to be her, Tobi!" I raised my voice a little aggressively, seeing Tobi widened his eyes. "But Simon, we never know-"

"I gotta go, Tobi! Bye!" I hung up and placed my phone down. He has a point... what if it isn't her...
